I'm a major fan of Amuro Namie since the mid 1990s, and I'm still a fan. So, I'm wondering if anyone plans to see her in concert?
I have a friend in Tokyo who is looking up tickets for me, so as soon as that's a go, I'm booking my flight to Tokyo!

Namie Amuro to release new single 'TSUKI' in January

Amuro Namie will release her new single "TSUKI" on January 29, 2014.

The title track of this single will be used as the theme song for Kitagawa Keiko and Nishikido Ryo's starring film 'Dakishimetai -Shinjitsu no Monogatari-' which will hit theaters on February 1, 2014.

For its coupling track, the single will include the songs "Neonlight Lipstick" and "Ballerina". The DVD for the CD+DVD Edition will come with 3 music videos.

Namie Amuro to release 'Best Of-Ballad' Album

Amuro Namie will be releasing a best-of ballad album called "Ballada" on June 4.

The album will include 15 of Amuro's popular ballads such as "SWEET 19 BLUES", "CAN YOU CELEBRATE?", and "Love Story". It will also contain a ballad version of "Contrail" as the bonus track.

To coincide with the album's release, Amuro will make new videos for "CAN YOU CELEBRATE?", "SWEET 19 BLUES", "HimAWArI", and "Four Seasons". A total of 17 PVs will be included in the Blu-ray and DVD.

Finally, Amuro will set out on a nationwide arena tour (currently untitled) in late-May. More details on the tour will be revealed at a later date.

Namie Amuro to hold 36 shows for upcoming arena tour

Amuro Namie has announced the schedule for her upcoming arena tour.

Titled 'namie amuro LIVE STYLE 2014', the tour will kick off on August 22 at Ecopa Arena in Shizuoka and will wrap up on December 18 at Nippon Gaishi Hall in Aichi for a total of 36 shows. Ticket pre-reservations can be made through Amuro's official fan club starting on May 9.

In addition, Amuro will release her best-of ballad album "Ballada" on June 4. It will feature 15 popular ballads chosen by her fans as well as a bonus track called "Contrail Ballad Ver.".

Namie Amuro to release new CD and hold tour

Amuro Namie will release her new album "_genic" on June 10. In addition, she will set out on a nationwide arena tour called 'namie amuro LIVEGENIC 2015-2016' from September.

"_genic" comes a little over 2 years since Amuro released her last original album "FEEL". The track list will be comprised entirely of unreleased songs. The singer worked with spirited producers from Japan and overseas while incorporating the 80's beat and 90's R&B groove. The DVD / Blu-ray will contain music videos to 5 of her songs.

As for the tour, it will kick off on September 5 at Saitama Super Arena for a total of 44 shows in 15 locations. Ticket pre-reservations will begin for her fan club members on April 11 at 12:00 noon and will run for about a month.

Namie Amuro to release new album in June

Amuro Namie has her new album "_genic" that's scheduled for release on June 10.

The album will include a total of 14 songs including Amuro's first birthday song "Birthday" produced by SeventyEight Productions, a ballad song called "Anything" produced by James Keyz Foye who has worked with Beyonce on "I Been On", and "B Who I Want 2 B feat. U hum sneak it" produced by Sophie who is well-known in the UK underground scene. When the album's release was originally announced, it was said that it would include 13 new and unreleased songs, but it will also come with "What I Did For Love", a collaboration song with David Guetta, as the special track.

Besides the track list, Amuro has revealed a trial listening video for the album through her official YouTube channel. This video will be available until May 20th.

Namie Amuro opens private management agency

On June 9, Avex announced through its official website that singer Amuro Namie has launched a private management agency called stella88.

Earlier this year on January 15, it was announced that Amuro had signed a new contract with Avex label Dimension Point, who would be in charge of management. However, all management duties will be handled by stella88 from now on.

Namie Amuro to release new single in December

Amuro Namie's new single "Red Carpet" will be released on December 2.

This comes about a year since the singer released her last single "BRIGHTER DAY". The title track of her upcoming single is described as a positive neo soul tune that describes the "red carpet called life."

You can listen to a clip of "Red Carpet" on Amuro's label Dimension Point's official website. As the coupling track, the single will include an uptempo number called "Black Make Up". The single will be released in CD+DVD and CD-Only editions. The DVD will include the PV and making-of footage of "Red Carpet".

Fans who pre-order this single at one of the venues of her nationwide tour "namie amuro LIVEGENIC 2015-2016" will receive a Christmas card. In addition, a special website has been launched where fans can vote for artists they want to see Amuro collaborate with.

Namie Amuro to hold 88-concert tour

Namie Amuro will embark on a nationwide hall tour called "namie amuro LIVE STYLE 2016-2017" starting in August.

For the upcoming tour, Amuro is scheduled to hold 88 concerts in 33 locations in front of a total of about 230,000 people. The tour will kick off on August 19 at Yokosuka Geijitsu Gekijou in Kanagawa.

Namie Amuro to release double A-side single in October

Namei Amuro will release a double A-side single titled "Dear Diary/Fighter" on October 26.

"Dear Diary" is the theme song and "Fighter" is the insert song for the movie "Death Note: Light up the NEW World" which opens in theaters on October 29. The single will be available for purchase in three different types: Limited Edition, CD + DVD Edition, and CD-only Edition. The DVD will contain the PVs for the two tracks.

Namie Amuro to sing theme song for TBS Fall 2017 drama "Kangoku no ohimesama"

Amuro Namie will be singing the theme song for TBS Autumn 2017 drama "Kangoku no ohimesama" starring Koizumi Kyoko which will begin its run from October 2017 in the Tuesdays 10pm timeslot. The release date of the theme song titled "Showtime" is undecided and marks the first collaboration between Amuro and Koizumi and Kudo Kankuro who is the scriptwriter for this drama.

Amuro commented that the offer to sing the theme song came from the TV station and she was very honoured to be given the chance to do so. The song uses the theme of "showtime" to represent the revenge plan featured in the drama and is a feminine up-tempo pop tune. As such, she hoped that this song will be able to help in boosting the atmosphere of the drama.
