In fact if you are visiting Singapore.. shopping at those less popular places might be more worthwhile since you can buy stuffs at a much cheaper price..
Town areas like Orchard sells stuffs at a higher price because of their rentals.. but of course you will need a guide to bring you around.. or else most probably you gonna be hanging around town only..
Singapore doesn't have really nice scenery though.. cos there are buildings everywhere...
ahem...this is so embarassing...starting to wonder if i am a singaporean....
well....next week i'll be hosting a group of high sch students from japan and they actually express their wish to go places that are popular with students and shops that sell things that japan doesnt have (yar and all i can think is bak kwa )......as i am no longer a student, i have absolutely no idea the hip and cool places that teenagers hang out so pls HELP~~~~no pubs please, they're only 14, 15

do u mean u don't know where IMM is?? well, it's at jurong east. u can take the mrt and stop at jurong east. then u can walk from the mrt station or u can go to the back of the popular bk store, cross the road and take a free shuttle bus.the bus will drop u at the main entrance..
buahahah, sadly, yes, I don't know where it was until u told me. and until I went again recently. Maybe because i live all the way at the other end of Singapore (OK.. that was an excuse)
BTW, I always shop at DAISO at IMM. not in bulk of course.. just the japanese foodstuff which go for $2 ea.

I don't live in SG, but I have the Samsung V205, which I think may be a version or two newer the above mentioned Samsung V200. I got it back in late October 2003. It's a very good phone and holds 100 saved pics. The pics are decent quality. They look GREAT on the phone, but if you email them to yourself on the computer, you might want to do some editing of them, depending on the picture type. I don't think there are really any cell phones that take pics as good as digital cameras, LOL. I paid $50 US for it (after mail-in rebates). The memory capacity is pretty damn good in my experience. It holds a good bit of ringtones, pictures, text messages, emails, etc. You can use both text messages (SMS) and picture messages....and you can use email via the picture message menu. If you are looking to spend less money, check out the V205 (err....V200 for you, I guess). If money is no object, check out any of the brand new Samsungs, which may be a bit expensive. Samsung is a very good brand for cell phones. They are well worth the money and give you good performance.
