Maybe it's a pet peeve of mine and maybe it doesn't annoy anyone else but I think a limit should be set on some avatar sizes and some signature sizes. Whether or not it's linked to another host. It just gets kind of annoying to read posts in a thread while scrolling down then all of the sudden text is moved over because someone's avatar is so huge. I think avatars should be 150 wide or less so the text doesn't get pushed over. I haven't seen that many people's signatures being too big, but I've seen some huge avatars that push the text over and it's kind of annoying to have to scroll over to read the rest of the post. Oh well just felt like saying that. |
Ouch! A direct headshot!
I'm one of those who have huge signatures.
Anou!!
I think it would be better if the "locked" threads are to be remove of course with due respect for its creator. It just make the forums list so huge. Another thing I know this would be too exagerrating Can you also pls. remove those thread whose last dated reply or visit is a year ago.

Thats an implementation by me. I purposely removed multi-level quotes as some users tend to over-quote (and u'll see an entire page of repeated text in each message). Usually quoting at a single level is enough. If you think the quote isn't enough, you could write abit more to remind others what u're talking about.
Guest:
Avatars now already limited at width 150pixels.. shld have less problems with them now.

I prefer to keep the posts in the database. I mean, in due time they'll be pushed to the back, so you probably won't hit onto them if you aren't interested in looking way back into history.

If only it was within my control Pictures are hard to find. Someone get them for me?
sid:
Actually, there are only a few such write-ups on each artiste. If you're interested, think you could just read the comments from users/voters. After all, all writeups were from our users. _________________ @_@ <--- webmaster?

Oh okay. I don't use it that often, but when I have to it gets a little complicated cutting and pasting multiple quotes...

I don't think you understand why it's missing. He just can't find the photo. Can't post a photo if you don't have one, right?

Well, one BIG HUGE problem with advertising is that, if you really think about it, the things that go on here is anything but legal. Using your example, if Genma approached FUJI TV for possible advertising opportunities, they'll immediately see things like my Under the Same Roof project, or the hundreds of other FUJI TV owned programming that's just floating around. It would be like asking Ford Motor Company to sponsor a chop shop*
* - chop shop is a place where stolen cars are stripped of parts, then sold on the black market.
It's quite interesting that Japanese drama traders are just as naive as MP3 traders. A very large majority of Jdorama fans do not realize that what they're doing is purely illegal. So my suggestion would be to keep a very very low profile and avoid discussing things like "Oh, yeah, xxxx and yyyy record stuff off the TV and scatter it all over the place."

| Very funny analogy. Another one: asking rolex to front all those street vendors that sells fake rolexes. _________________
