|
|
This is intended for intermediate Japanese and up:
Please feel free to post expressions, usages, vocabularies, grammar, etc..(Recommend first time Japanese learner to learn the plain, generic, or general-purpose Japanese; in another words, Japanese that is used around Tokyo)
Please note: Kansai Ben runs on a different system in terms of usage, speech, grammar, writing. Also, although not complicated, it is still a complex system where everything is used differently in communicating thoughts and ideas. Therefore, it would confuse esp. beginner learners of their formal Japanese training.
Enjoy~! Ishooni ganbarou~

yah know... When i went to live in Kyoto for a little bit. I went to a book store and I came across a Kansai-ben textbook. Heh... you can probably find it in any major bookstore that has an English book section/ Japanese study books.
Omoroi-yan na!?!
here's another for the list!
bochi-bochi den na - im doin good
hrmmmm.... I have others but being that I only was in that area for a lil bit.....wakaran!
Although if you wanna know some Mikawa-ben (City within Aichi-ken called Okazaki) then you could try:
taberin - tabetekudasai
nomerin - nonnde kudasai
damon de - desu kara
hehehe...

Little off the topic of Kansai-ben.
Okinawan dialect..... all I know is "Hasai" (Konnichiha)
-Pretty sad for someone whose majority of ancestory goes back to Itoman village in Okinawa. The other part of my ancestory goes back to Hiroshima and I don't even know the dialect there.
Anybody know "Hogen"? (Okinawa dialect) or anything in Hiroshima dialect?
OI Malorum!!! Nandeyanen! Ore no kaachan koto nani eutonen?!
Hahaha. Uso da! Jyodan de!
(F.Y.I. : You gotta put one more "A" in there [before the "C"])

okinawan dialect: Hoogen
uchinanchu (okinawan)
oma (bruise)
also many okinawans talk about themself as a third person (using their own names in speech).
i cant think of many okinawan words, i forgot most of them. stayed there for 1 summer, and a week during winter break. _________________

Uh huh huh huh, he said "Jugs"!
