i was reading how the Ainu and the Okinawans were subjugated by the real "Japanese" to make themselves look civilised in the eyes of the westerners.... and also how the Ainus were thought to be "caucasoid" be the westerners .... and how japanese people still discriminate against the Ainu people.....
they are still being discriminated and today and prolly be a while before okinawa is correctly 'assemilated' into the JPN population. The ainu culture sort of resemble the one with the native americans fron the northwest. now i don't know as much about the ainus, but i DO know a fair amount of knowledge about the uchinachus. tokyo rarely helps okinawa, which BY FAR has the highest unemployment in JPN. Things like american bases in JAPAN also sets of political brushfires there as well. After WW2 after JPN surrendered, one of the points the US made was that there would be X amount of space alotted for the occupation of the US forces. All tokyo said was basically: "sure, no prob. just make sure that 80% of the sapce that you are asking for is built in okinawa."
People in okinawa: WTF? Altho land area is very limited in JPN, why do we have to feel the brunt of the occupation here in tiny okinawa?
People here are still very bitter the whole base thing. they aren't upset at the americans in general when they say "yankees go home". they are more upset with tokyo if anything. since americans take up SO much land space in okinawa, the uchinanchu's just want the land back so they can build houses of their own.

yah thats kind of a bad pic of her. if you look up speed, shes the cutest one in that group to me.
nemoto? uehara is wayyyy cuter than her. it's all about E`i`Ababy!!! I also think she is the hottest one out of the 4. the others are cute as well, but uehara is the one with the major cosmetics deals. Imai and shimabukuro definitly has better pipes than her tho.

Everyone always ignores Arakaki Hitoe of Speed I like them all, but damn....Hitoe gets dissed Yeah, she was the worst singer of them all, but they always put her in the back while she was the better dancer, LOL. I liked her cuz she was the unique one. Most people either don't like her or go "Um...who's that?" >__<;; She's a little too "tryin' to be ghetto" now though But I don't think she's ugly though...
Credits to Peachchik...I'll remove these in a couple days cuz like, I don't like hotlinking people

certainly not heinous, it's just that i think when you compare her to the 3, she is the "lowest on the totem pole". Last i heard she was trying to break into the visual arts industry by having her own works exhibited in shows. _________________

Sorry, but she can't sing OR draw....I just like her dancing and think she's unique looking (when ghetto'ed up or not). I wish I had her pout though. When I was in Japan, her drawings were on Dr. Pepper cans.
