just watched Winter Sonata... my first Korean drama... and was so impressed... does anyone know if there is a forum like Jdorama.com for Kdramas...? Just thought there may be some people here who watched Korean dramas at this forum, too...it would be cool to discuss.
LOL groink, I didn't think you liked kdrama....you own the domain name??
Actually I don't like them at all. Looooooong explanation not fit for this topic.
On a similar note... Anyone interested in making a forum using kdorama.com? About six months or so ago, I was conversing with a friend of mine who also like Japanese dramas. We were wondering why some Korean drama fans were invading JDorama.com, and more specifically why no one bothered making a kdorama.com site? I figured if there was a site just like JDorama.com, then they would be flocking there instead. So, just to prove my point, I bought the domain name, and then started tracking the hits. Without the domain even showing up in Google, the site received at least 10 hits per day. And by the time the domain did show up on Google, it was receiving over 20 hits a day.
Either I can host the site, or someone can buy the domain from me and host it themselves. It's a good domain name! I have absolutely no interest in working on one myself (my time's spent working on Noriko-chan's forums right now).
The guy who created the website put this together for non-Koreans who have become addicted to Korean TV dramas ..it's pretty cool. It's for people who have "an insatiable need to learn more about Korean dramas and Korean culture"...
After watching Winter Sonata and currently watching Beautiful Days (yes, I'm now an addict) .. I was surprised at how much Korea seems a lot like Japan..in landscape, culture, and language..I know there will be people who will disagree with me on this, but having lived and knowing Japan that is how I feel. Anyways, I like how there are sections on explaining more about Korean culture and language..also on the actors/actresses and drama...pretty cool site.. highly recommend!

I think a lot of us kdrama followers are aware of Koreanwiz. Great source of info on titles, actors, and info However there is no forum. When I replied I thought you were mainly looking for forums to discuss

Hi KouSeiya315!
I have been a J-dorama enthusiast for years (and have been excited to find this jdorama site back in May)
... but I'm a newbie to Kdramas... so any info is new to me...so I thought I'd share the link if there were any newbies out there too...(yep, I got in on Winter Sonata because of Hoopla in the Japanese media...and on Bhae Yong Joon)
Actually I got the http://www.koreanwiz.org/ link from the forum you told me...http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/
so thanks...! I've really appreciated everyone's input - done searches on google, I got some good links but it's really limited on info...So if you know of any other useful links to enjoy K-dramas, K-artists, K-culture, discussion forum etc in english..that's great... please let me know... and maybe for other out there are who are newbies..too..
Success Story of a Fine Girl starring Jang Na Ra and Jang Hyuk
My Love Patzzi starring Jang Na Ra, Kim Rae Won, and Kim Jae Won
Rooftop Room Cat starring Kim Rae Won (forgot the actress' name)
Romance starring Kim Jae Won (forgot actress' name here too)
i enjoyed all of the above dramas, they were all very good.

Lots of good sites up there.
creidesca's C/J/K Dramas in California board also has a reasonably active Korean drama section (maybe 45 or so Korean drama series posts per day). Lots of posts by people outside of California, too.
The Winter Sonata thread there is short (as with other sites, most posts are for recent series), but it does includes a selection of Winter Sonata pictures and video of Ryu's performance from the New Year's Kouhaku special.
With Winter Sonata starting to air nationally again in the U.S. this month, we might get a little more traffic in that thread. _________________
