I read this quite a while back.
I think the author is exagerating a little too much when he says that learning Japanese is "painful". (IMO)

Yeah, it made me laugh.. a lot of it is quite true although satirical- especially the part about other classmates spending their time asking questions like how to say Crystal Tiara in Japanese. So true.
