You're right. IIRC it was suppose to be released this summer. I found a page with a date (06/10). It looks like the movie and I don't remember seeing Horikita Maki in the TV drama.

I see...
I think I misread and this thing is actually a book for the movie. I think tu_triky mentioned once that they give you books during the first few screening of a movie.
TRICK(gbN) 2 (Ps{)
Here's what my dictionary has on gekijoban:
 [傤] gekijou; (n) theatre/playhouse
 [͂] han; (n) edition
Ps{ [ڂ] tankoubon; (n) special book/separate volume/book of lectures _________________
I saw Trick Gekijouban 3 in Japan!! Amazing amazing. Except hardly any Yabe! And Yamada's mom came off annoying (in my opinion). Apparently it's the last Trick they're ever gonna make So sad...
In Trick Gekijouban 2, didn't she not die in the bathroom-drowning incident coz (and this is just me attempting to remember the right stuff) it was either a) she used something else as a breather majigger, or b) the water didn't actually rise all the way, or long enough for either of them to die but Yamada didn't have enough time to use the poisoned straw whereas the guy did....... Yes...... You know what? I'm just gonna have to watch it again!

wait wait, so they have 3 Trick movies now? I thought the 2nd TRICK movie was just on this summer... ??!
at any rate, if they are making new movies, they should play on the romance line between yamada & ueda a bit more. they're so extra hilarious when it comes to coupling up.

^Sorry sorry I meant 2 But it's the 3rd gekijouban. ....I think. No, now I have no idea, but my point is they are all amazing
hmm it sounds like there're actually 3 trick movies. i only watched the 1st Trick movie (the one with the kame/turtle god and a sweet ending). and you watched a previous one with... bathroom drowning(?) ...which wasn't in the 1st movie.
and now there's a new movie this summer.... huh?! this sounds right?
There has been one Trick movie (2002) and one TV Special (2005). Now there is a new one this summer. The special wasn't a theatrical release, so I would not call it a gekijouban, but maybe I'm wrong about that.
Personally, I thought the 2002 movie was great, but the 2005 special wasn't anything special.
Abe Hiroshi and Nakama Yukie are great together. Their chemistry within the context of the plot was really fun to watch and truly made this drama a success.
There isnft an overall story, but instead a collection of stories. Each story (2-3 episodes in length) can stand on its own with no connection to the next one. The only consistency is the relationship between Abe and Nakama, the police officers, and Nakamafs mother. Usually I get tired while watching a drama where there is no common thread between each episode, but because Hiroshi and Nakama were so great, I forgave Trick this once annoyance.
I like mysteries. I enjoy dramas where I can play around with figuring out the answers, and because therefs a gtrickh in each episode, I really enjoyed trying to find what they were.
Ifm a little surprised that this drama was popular enough to have two more seasons (plus a special). Although it was interesting and fun to watch, it did get a bit redundant. There wasnft an actual conclusion to the drama, which irked me, so perhaps Ifll find more closure in the next two seasonsc

I absolutely LOVED the constant gflat-chesth and gbig penish jokes, especially when they were symbolized through the drama (fried eggs and sausage LOL!). Letfs hope they reappear as well.

Yea exactly. I've started the second season (watching first epi as we speak) and it's like a continuation of the first. No space between. _________________
