Great news SMAP MIJ 2003 DVD/VHS (3 pcs) concert Tour is out tentative on Dec 23, 24 2003. Like the Drink SMAP! 2002, there will be behind-the-scenes documentary, a digest of talks in the gigs and more. It is filmed live at Yokohama Stadium on Aug 23, 24 2003
For first press, there will be a photo card.

2046's Press Conference news on 3/11/03

The mysterious "2046" has finally had a press conference at Shanghai yesterday. Director Wong along with Faye Wong, Tony Leung, Zhang Zhen, Kimura Takuya and photographer Du Ke Feng were at the conference. As this movie had been filming with a lot of pauses for more than 4 years, rumours were spreading about Kimura MIA'ing once again, so the major attention was pinned on Kimura. Japan media even got more than 70 reporters to head for Shanghai for the event. At the first media question(what question?), Kimura explained, "While waiting or filming for this movie, I'm very happy. Even though 4 years have passed, everyone's still the same and it seems like I'm the only one who has changed."

When Director Wong heard Kimura's words, he immediately added on, "4 years ago during the first fliming scene, Kimura brought his agent and assistant to HK, each time a scene was done, he would stay in the car to rest. His performance has been great but that kind of "great" means to do well in work. 4 years later, we're filming again, Kimura still brought his agent with him but after each scene, he would squat in front of the small screen along with other actors to see if their acting was good." Director Wong felt that Kimura has great confidence of himself, not only has he improved but he has grown up a lot. The only downside was everyone could only use simple english to communicate with each other. "He's not just an actor from Japan, he's also the world's promising actor."
Kimura also explaining saying... "I will say that I have changed because these few years I've been performing around along with SMAP, I've known even more... Besides "marriage", "being a dad" has made me more mature. Today, I dare to say that I've changed, meaning I have to take responsibility for myself so that I can continue to grow in the future."

Kimura's retort embarrassed HK reporter
2046's press conference, reporters from Mainland, HK, Taiwan and Japan were all present. As time was too tight and the reporters' questioning time was very short, the host asked the reporters to grab the chance to ask the moment at once. In the end when it was a HK reporter's turn, she asked Kimura, "While filming, does your wife and kids visit you in Shanghai?". Kimura asked two times without hesitation, "Why are you asking this?" She replied," Just wished to know..." He replied saying "I'll ask you then. You're here working now, did your boyfriend come?" This question made her embarrassed and she was speechless.(Orenji's words: Bravo Kimura!! ^_^)[/i]

Kimura: Waiting or working, I'm happy with both
HK Director Wong's filming of "2046" for nearly 3 years. Recently they brought the scene to Shanghai. The cast were all gathered together and Director Wong was enthusiastic. Seems like 2046's end filming is near and next year's film exhibition will not be a dream anymore.
Today, Director Wong brought Kimura Takuya, Tony Leung, Faye Wong and Zhang Zhen to hold a press conference. This is also "2046"'s biggest press conference in nearing 3 years. The male and female leads finally have a chance to talk about their feelings for the movie and the conference's main attention was naturally at Kimura Takuya who has came "in and out" of the movie a lot of times and was rumoured of not being pleased with Director Wong's method of filming.
The kakkoii Kimura Takuya first cleared the rumour, "I have never had any dissatisfaction with Director Wong.". He stressed that no matter if it's just "waiting" or working, he has been very happy. This had made the whole media crowd laughed. Kimura expressed that the filming art as well as the working style between Japan and HK are different and his language does not click as well. Truly, when agreeing to film "2046" for the first time, he was facing a great challenge but with help from the caring crew, everything could be solved.
Director Wong was full of praises for Kimura, he pointed out that after these few years he realised that Kimura has matured a lot, for example, Kimura will take the initiative to request to go to the scene and stare at the television in order to understand the actors and the overall atmosphere.
The ever cool Faye Wong was at the press conference as well. She said that in "2046", she's acting as a human machine(Orenji's words: Amazed!). Regarding "Human machine's love scenes", she felt that it was very difficult. When asked if who's her love partner she declined to say anything.
I am soo proud of Kimura kun. He certainly deserves the remarks Wong Kar Wai gave for his professionalism. And i am certainly proud at the way he snapped at that HK reporter! Serves her right for meddling into his private life.
