Any way I can get'em.
If you're gonna edit them for yourself, I have no problem waiting. If you don't plan to bother, they won't kill me. My only problem with commercials is that they waste disc space. (And you thought you were cheap.) _________________

a few weeks ago i read this book called "hakase no aishita suushiki" which translates into "The (numerical/mathematical) Equation Professor loved". it's a very interesting storyy about this professor who only has 80 minutes of memory. and the ending is very touching too.
AND... this story will be made into a movie!! the road show will be held on 21st Jan in Japan. the official site is http://hakase-movie.com/ but i don't think you can view the details of the official site yet. but this is one movie you must watch!
Koshonin Mashita Masayoshi (The Negotiator). This is the third in the Odoru Daisosasen movie franchise. However, don't expect to see all those lovable characters from the Wangan Police Dept. in this film. Instead, the movie focuses on one of the characters--Mashita (Yusuke Santamaria)--the first negotiator of the MPD. If you may remember from the series and the first two movies, Mashita is on the "elite" track in the police bureaucracy and was pivotal in the second movie in solving the crime. He also has a major crush on Miki Mizuno's character (she has a minor role in this film). Anyway, the story revolves around a game of wits between Mashita and an unseen domestic terrorist-wannabe who wants to show up Mashita and his negotiating team. The plot involves the Japanese subway system, stealthlike trains, bombs, bureaucratic agencies distrustful of one another, and Ravel's Bolero; the action all basically takes place on Christmas Eve. Supt. Muroi ((Toshiro Yanagiba) makes a cameo appearance, as do a couple of minor police characters, but that's all the connection there is to the Bayside bunch. Instead there is a whole new set of quirky characters who interact with Santamaria's character. Although disappointed this wasn't about the Wangan group, I ended up liking this movie. It had a lot of the characteristics found in the Odoru Daisosasen franchise--competing agencies, lunatic criminals, offbeat characters, the effort to prove one's worth despite the skepticism of others, funny moments in the midst of potentially tragic cirumstances. . . . Not a great movie, but solidly entertaining and enjoyable to watch. BTW, there is a fourth movie which came out this past year which focuses on Supt. Muroi. Hasn't been released on DVD yet.

BEWARE!
There is another Japanese movie (2003) just relased in the U.S. on DVD
titled "Koshonin", in English, "Negotiator"
This is actually a straight suspense film directed by Miike Takashi and featuring Renji Ishibashi.
The problem is, half the descriptions I've read for this other film include mentions of Santamaria Yusuke and the Odoru Daisosasen movies and TV series.
They are two very different movies. So read carefully before you buy or rent. _________________

Good for a Miike movie. He actually seemed to stick to the plot. More a made for TV movie than one of his works of genius.
But truth to tell, I was too annoyed and disappointed -- to find that I hadn't gotten the movie that I thought I was getting -- to give it a fair chance.

hi
i utterly don't know what you're talking about, but i just wanted to say that the japanese movie "TOKYO TOWER" is REALLY borring!!!!
i downloaded it because of the cast (matsujun and okada junichi) but the story was soo insignifiant... and the girl who screwed matsujun acted so bad... and she was speaking almost like a kid although she was really quite old compared with matsujun (on her 40 i guess)... i was disapointed... really... did sb see the movie? _________________
