I spose the whole ppl using random words comes with the natural 'evolution' of languages. by starting off with a half known word, by the time people stop using it, the meanings been warped to fit what ever the ppl who used it made it into. It happens all the time in english. words just evolve. I guess it shows the japanese language's ability and willingness to change over time... or something

This "�Q�c�I�h thing was started by some "owarai" guy (Japanese comedian), I forgot his name who was always wearing a white suit. It's just one of those things that comedians do, to create an impact so people remember them.

Just to add to this, the Gets! popularity was partly because he made a game out of saying it and pointing similar to rock, paper, stone. Basically you would count to three and then point either up, down, left, or right whilst shouting Gets! in an attempt to guess the direction of your opponants Gets! I don't understand it but it was hugely popular a while back.

every time i watch a game show, when they win or get something, they say "yeah! getto!"
