lol Holy crap, I almost pissed my pants after reading this.

I've no idea who votes on the Nisei Week Queen, but it's probably a select group, and not the general public.

That's what I figure. I believe the public can attend the pageant itself, but has no voting priveleges.

You don't mean that. Heck I enjoy going to festivals and shindigs whenever possible.

Taiko is awesome. I would take it up if I only had the discipline. Sweat College gals, as in the foreign exchange variety? Naughty

OK bmw-chan, then just ignore my PM. HA!
Yeah I know what you mean, sometimes your friends don't want to attend the same events you do. Grumble I have since learned that if you really want to go to an event, then just pick yourself up and go by yourself. You might meet someone there, ya never know??? Wink Smile

I thought because they showed the photos of the Queen's candidates that we could vote. Bummer! Did you see the photos of all the past years' winners? That was fun to look at.

Taiko would be one of my favorites too. I love the sound.

It's essentially true. Most of my friends are (still) married, so they're ball-and-chained.

I think I have more friends online than in person. Puppy Dog Eyes

Nah, mostly from the local colleges: UCLA, USC, UCI, CSULA... And they're usually cream of the crop. Mr Green

@Enna: I don't think the public has a vote. At least I believe that's the way it works for the Cherry Blossom Festival Pageant in SF Japantown.

Did I mention that one of my aquaintences was a recent Cherry Blossom Festival princess? Naughty Mr Green
