As a public service to any Candians that might be watching this drama, reviving this thread. I had completely forgotten about the little debate we had with shin2 about the merits of this drama, I must be getting senile.

To carryover from what Wyn-chan said in the other thread, the one real problem I had with this drama was the male lead. Unfortunately, I haven't seen him in anything else, so I don't know how much was his character or if he always acts like this. Some actors don't really "act" they just play the same role over and over again. (John Wayne comes to mind)

Yesh, that's exactly who I was referring to. And I understand I have nothing but this one role to go by, but I do find him a little awkward. Kato Haruhiko is delightful but not necessarily droolable. Ryoko-san and Manami-san totally make up for the lackings in the lead.

Ryoko's character is so refreshing! And gorgeous! No wonder all you boys luff her. She's got legs to die for. >>jealous<<

That appears to be the copy that everyone has... I'd consider buying the DVDs from Japan and re-subbing them myself, but they're soooo expensive.
