Good old 'Hotman"!! w00t!

That's always going to be a special drama for me because it's the first drama I ever saw and the one that got me hooked on this.

Hehe I stole the idea from your you Wink You spoke so highly of it on your revie that I decided to watch it.

I finally finished Second Virgin (damn I hate the title) despite a laborious, long and a little boring start it took an unexpected turn and became very interesting in about the middle of the serie. Good I stuck to it, even with a three months break between fourth and fifth episode :p

So I totally switched back to Saikou no Rikon as my favorite dorama this season! Mr Green Ep 4 was very touching.

Finished ep 5. Maki was very good in this episode!! Applaud

It used to bother me how they would switch from being funny and light to very serious but it's starting to make sense now. Eita's character is getting on my nerves though. Somebody, anybody needs to slap him and say, "Grow up you big baby!!" Beat You

But overall, I still think I like 'Tonbi' better.

I'm also watching Saikou no Rikon[/i], I'm so bored because of that neverending sick leave that I'm stealing every idea that could kill time Big Grin

I have been a bit disturbed aswell with the plot alternating betwen comedy and drama but now I got used to it and learned to appreciate those funnier moments.

It's the third time I watch a drama with Eita (Orange Days, Last Friends) and it seems he mostly portrays "loser" type? Well at least unlike the two previous characters he's not really a good guy, I like seeing actors playing every kind of roles Wink

Probably the best drama I've seen Eita in is 'Soredemo Ikite':http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1646.htm

Almost everybody agrees that it's very good although some think the ending could have been better.

I consider Eita as quite a versatile actor who can act many different types. In Soredemo, Ikite Yuku (have to agree with Gaijinmark about that being a very good drama) he's utterly convincing indeed. Lately he's also been acting in Mahoro Eki Mae Bangaichi. That's quite different again from his role in Saikou no Rikon. He has great chemistry with Matsuda Ryuhei in that. It's a joy to watch them together Smile
Another good thing about Eita is that he's in so many of my favorite series and movies and acting quite well in most of them. from Aoi Haru to Nodame Cantabile to Su Ki Da to The Foreign Duck, the Native Duck and God in a Coin Locker, and so forth, and so forth... but that's in the eye of the beholder of course Mr Green

Episode 1 of "Sharehouse no Koibito". So far they've shown the attempted suicide cliche and the running after the bus cliche. It's not bad but like I said in another thread, I don't think I've ever seen Oizumi Yo in a good drama, and judging from the ratings this thing must really get a lot worse.

I hear you! I took a day off from school today to work on a presentation and to wait for a delivery. I watched a few episodes in the background and they lost me during episode 6! They used the unforgivable "down with a sudden fever" cliche. bleh
I like the idea of the drama - loneliness in a city and looking at alternative life styles - but while it has touching moments and a warm feeling, the story is weak.

Taiyou no Uta episode 1-6

Erika looked great, and I like the feel of the show too, but nothing especially memorable about it. My interest has waned, not sure if I will finish it. Yamada Takayuki was good too.

My mother is watching Fight and she praised it, esp. the writing, which doesn't happen very often. She was watching Oshin before and got tired of it after 200+ epsiodes.

It was probably a good idea initially but it's just poorly done. I had some hope in episode 5 with the Valentine's Day chocolates thing. I think a halfway decent comedy could be done about Mizukawa and her co-workers at the copier place, but that's not a good sign when the best thing about a drama is a minor subplot. Shake Head

So far so good.

I think some people were hoping there would some romance between Karina and Kimtaku but I think they made the right choice in not going down that road. Karina was the best part of that drama for me, she's very good at comedy! Applaud

Started 'Itsuka Hi' at first I was kind of irritated by Iijima's character. How can somebody that went to prison for murder be so cheerful? But now we're finding out she's got her problems as well. For a long time I haven't been a fan of Aya. I think the first two dramas I saw her in were 'Attention Please' and 'My Little Chef' and I managed to finish those in spite of Aya not because of her. But she was very good in 'Zettai Reido' (need to get around to the sequel someday) and she's very good here as well. My only complaint is that just like in 'Freeter' they've turned Asano Atsuko into a one-dimensional character. She's one of the best actresses out there, they really need to expand her character.

I know. I'm liking it a lot. Waiting for a weep-fest. The throwing the ball part was uber dramafied ended up being funny.

Btw I just heard the soundtrack for a dorama called MARKS, it is beyond awesome and I haven't even watched the show. Definitely watching it next.

^ MARKS is one of my most favourite WOWOW dramas besides Soratobu Taiya (still a WOWOW classic) and Tsumi to Batsu.

Currently following Mahoro ekimae bangaichi and just finished Love shuffle today.

Need something else to watch while waiting for new Mahoro eps!
Been watching 1 or 2 eps of Tokyo dogs and Byakuyakou but haven't really gotten into them yet.. so I'm thinking of perhaps starting with Liar game or something else.

'Tokyo Dogs' should be avoided at all costs! Judging by your avatar, you're a fan of Odagiri Joe. If so, I would recommend (in no particular order) 'Jikou Keisatsu', 'Kaette Kita Jikou Keisatsu', and 'Boku no Imoto'.
