Just finished watching Ataru which I really liked. Kuriyama Chiaki's character is pretty funny, and Nakai Masahiro's Ataru is kinda adorable in this!
Then started on Deka Kurokawa Suzuki, and I guess I'm in the minority as I am enjoying this one too. I guess I wasn't expecting much after seeing the ratings so it kinda suprised me how much I enjoy character's interactions.
Also started on the latest Keishicho Sosa Ikka 9 Gakari (gotta love Inocchi!) _________________

I finished watching Aishiteru Kaiyo and it was GOOD. I'm glad some guys here made me discover that fantastic drama
I'm glad you enjoyed it! But that's fast of you to finish it. If you can stand another intense one, you might want to try Mother if you haven't. It starred Matsuyuki Yasuko and little Ashida Mana.
OT, currently starting on the new asadora, Jun to Ai. First episode was pretty interesting! _________________
Kanjani8's 18th single, "365 Nichi Kazoku" out June 8th, 2011!
If anybody's looking for a short (8 episodes) but excellent drama, check this one out. I thought some of the domestic violence scenes went a bit over the top, but I guess that's to be expected. Not as bad as what they showed in "Last Friends", but unlike "Last Friends" this drama has real actors.
Maki was excellent and so was all the supporting cast.

yeah subs for ep 6 of namae o nakushita megami are out
and my god I really do believe Ono Machiko is becoming my new favorite actress boy can she act! I have found all of her roles interesting from mother where she plays a troubled single mother, I loved how in that drama they didn't just paint her character as an just a child abuiser but also her back story on how hard it is being a single mother in japan and the judgement she faced by others and how she was insecure for a man and settled for someone rotten. To her strong wild character in carnation
I love her and Ayano Go's chemistry in carnation. he's another one of my new favorite actors! I really hope they do a drama again together! I love how in one drama their a couple u despise to a diffrent couple in carnation that you root will be together but cant due to him being married.

So I watched the first episode of Going my Home last night, which was two hours long.
I couldn't say if I liked it or not. I wasn't blown away but also not completely turned off. It seemed pleasant enough but I found it a little slow. Then again I believe the purpose of this first episode was to introduce us to the characters.
I also have no idea where this is going as it's not one of the typical story lines that we all know so well (you know the high school settting, hospital drama, trendy romance etc). Overall it reminded me of Still Walking and I checked afterwards and yep it's the same director/script writer! I will continue watching but I hope things get a little more interesting.

I was wondering why "Dotch Cooking" idiot savant YOU was cast in this. She was also in "Still Walking", so that explains it.

Just finished watching Saka no ue no Kumo (Clouds over the hill).
Its a great series to watch.
I wished it was one of those big budget films so they could have put in a lot more shots on the war itself though.
Also started watching Kodoku no Gurume - finished ep 1 (yakitori episode).
It made me hungry seeing how delicious it looks. _________________
Another one of those "Around 40" type dramas. They're splitting the difference this time. Kanno's character is 35, Amami's 45, so it averages out to 40. I don't think we'll see anything new here. How many of these type has Amami made? I may start referring to this genre as "Amami Dramas". (Try saying that five times fast!)

Watched Priceless episode one last night, this year's Kimutaku. It's very Zeitgeist in that it's all about austerity. They kept it light and unrealistic and it was an easy watch.
As with most Kimutaku dramas I like best the line-up of the actors he's paired up with. This is no exception, I like Karina, Nakai Kiichi and Fujiki Naohito (always easy on the eyes) and the two spunky kids. Since I think I know how the story will progress and end, I might not continue but it wasn't bad ...
Will watch Osozaki no Himawari in a few moments - an other lost generation/austerity drama as it seems but it has Ikuta Toma and Kiritani Kenta whom I both fancy a little
