Right then. Finished Hataraki Man. Not great. Not awful. I watched it because it featured a bucket full of really beautiful women... and they were all really beautiful right to the end.

So... I just started "Regatta"

http://jdorama.com/drama.1022.htm

I doubt I'll like it any more than Hataraki Man, but it features Aibu Saki. And her smile rivals Uchiyama Rina's. And that makes just about anything she does worth taking a look-see.

Just to keep myself from going completely brain-dead I've started watching episodes of the Zatoichi TV series from 1974 as my lunchtime show. Thank you shin 2.

Watching Keizoku in between classes. Video quality is absolutely horrible but once I got used to it, it's a decent show. I usually don't need to have the video quality perfect or anything, but I need to make the video window really small to even see this clearly. Sigh...

Finished Golden Bowl today. What a great drama! Thanks to shin2 for recommending & sending it to me. Big Grin I have nothing else to say now except that this gets probably an 8.5 or 9. Hell, I'll just give it a 9 and leave it at that.

Next up: Ruri no Shima. Smile

I'm biased because Kohinata Fumiyo, Nishida Naomi and Igawa Haruka are in it...

Oops...Did we fail to mention that Narumi Riko is the star...

So, have you seen Happy...

http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1003.htm

Saki's the lead...

actually there were two specials...

http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Happy%21

and of course, Utahime...Aibu Saki's best work to date, and the drama that finally made me take Nagase Tomoya seriously...

and Koike Eiko as well ...

I'm biased because I like everybody in it. However this is the first time I've seen Narumi Riko and she is simply a super actress. Wether she's crying, laughing or being a wiseguy there is no hint that she is acting. Just plain talent beyond the average. I've seen it twice already and will soon watch it again.

Re: Aibu Saki

I saw her for the first time in Ushi ni Negai wo. And she impressed me so much that I barely even noticed that Karina was in the show.

Then I saw Happy 2. Which was okay, but a little too dopey (IMO) so I didn't go after the first Happy special.

Then I watched her in Utahime and I thought she was a big reason that was such a good show.

Heck, I like her so much I even tried to watch a bit of Attention Please. But Aya Ueto kept cropping up with that Variety sketch comedy acting style she's developed and it became too annoying to watch a second episode.

I don't know if she can make Regatta worth watching for me... but I'm sure willing to let her try.

There's really something special about this series, it creeps on you (or me).

Just watched Puzzle and Ryokiteki na Kanojo episode 1. Both were good fun.

Wow, so many people commenting about Ruri no Shima! I guess this is a really popular drama, huh? And Yutaka is teh hotness in this one. He seems so mysterious, yet kind at the same time. I thought Ruri was about 18-20 when I first saw her, but when I checked her profile, she's so young! I have only watched episode 1 and already I'm liking it a lot. I can't wait to get home to watch the next episode. Big Grin

Yuck. I didn't like that drama too much. Hated Fujii Fumiya, Asano was annoying too. Only Tomoya saved it by his hotness, but that's it. Since that was almost 10 years ago, maybe I should watch it again because my taste is always changing.

Don't. I just watched episode 2 and 3 and I'm already annoyed. But moreso because I'm NOT attracted to Tomoya's character. Shameful Cry I mean, he's still hot, but I find myself preferring the older brother. He's boring, short, lacks passion, and no where near Tomoya's hotness status, but he's sincere, honest, and a good man.

Okay wow, so basically I'm choosing the boring but decent guy over the bad-boy hotty. Nut

And Asano's character royally pisses me off. I'm hoping the drama gets better... but I saw the preview and I don't think it will.

^ Hmm...good advice. At least I can cut one drama from my "to rewatch" list. Sweat Only reason why I wanted to watch it is because I want to see if I changed my mind about Fujii because this was the role that made me dislike him. Just hearing his music and seeing his face makes me repulsed. And I know I mentioned this before, but I have to say this everytime someone watches that horrible drama. Beaten
