Bruins dropped the opener to Flyers, 2-1. Flyers scored at the end of first period. Bs couldn't score after that.

Hockey night in SoCal, Teemu Selanne returns to Winnipeg for the first time in 16 years:http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/preview;_ylt=Aos7s2ohNiZc4HsQMOaHwlF7vLYF?gid=2011121728

w00t!

Jets won 5-2, but in a classy move by the Jets, Selanne was named #3 star so he could get one last ovation from the crowd. Thumbsup

Kings beat Vancouver 4-2 last night to go up 2-0 in the first round!! Victory! Peace! Shocked

But these are the Kings so I'm not counting my chickens before they cross the road. 10 days from now the 'Nucks could be moving on the second round after beating the Kings 4 games to 2.

I'm cheering for the Kings, but that's as far as it goes. No face painting for me, must be a New Jersey thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYeRDCWU1HA

If the Kings do win this thing, the person I'll be happiest for is Bob Miller.

He's been broadcasting the Kings' games since 1973. That's 39 years, and except for this season and the Gretzky years there hasn't been a whole lot to cheer about.

Gotta win it for Bob!! w00t!

Yup... Supposedly there have been three (four?) instances where the 0-3 team came back to win it all. Sweat

Only three. Leafs in '42, Islanders in '75, and Flyers in 2010. Of course, Blackhawks and Red Wings nearly pulled it off last year.

Hope the Kings win it, Doughty and Carter are from my hometown, so I'll probably go to their "Day With The Cup" celebration players do. Been a fan of them, including Mike Richards, since their junior days in the OHL.
