Damn, we got a series!
Just tuned in, was the Horton hit pretty bad?
Yes and quite an illegal one too by Rome. He got a 5 minute penalty which the 'Nucks killed plus a game misconduct, hoping Horton will be okay for next game. As far as tonight goes, I have confidence they won't blow a 4-0 lead after 2 periods, can save on those blood pressure pills. _________________

Though Horton is out for the series that hit seems to have really pumped them way up, in the 5 periods without him they've outscored the 'Nucks 12-1 as they win again tonight 4-0 to even the series up. Strong game for Thomas as the B's were actually outshot, Luongo got pulled in the 3rd in another less than stellar performance by him. Game 5 is in Vancouver, NHL is the only league that has kept the finals in a 2-2-1-1-1 format which I think is the more fair way to do it. _________________

Good effort last night came up short as the B's once again lose late 1-0. Scoreless after 2, 3rd game this series they've lost in the 3rd period or OT, gotta find the net next game which is at home, Luongo stepped up after 2 bad games, Thomas was solid again too. _________________

If the Canucks go on to win the cup, I can see Timmy getting the Conn Smythe. Dude has been unreal this post season, even if he had a few duds in the series against the Bolts.

He has been the best player so far for the entire playoffs except for 2 duds against TB but think it's only happened once where a player on the losing team got the Conn Smythe. 'Nucks don't really have anybody deserving, both Sedins have a horrible minus rating, Kessler was doing well but has done zero in the finals and there's no way Luongo would win it despite having 2 SOs in the finals. _________________
After listening to the song several times, I did a little research. The lyrics to "Hit Somebody: The Hockey Song" were actually written by Mitch Albom, the sportswriter; Zevon supplied the melody and , of course, the vocals. I found this interesting because the lyrics are very characteristic of the kinds of songs Zevon penned during his career. When the song was originally recorded, David Letterman actually supplied the background exhortations to "hit somebody."
"There were Swedes to the left of him
Russians to right
A Czech at the blue line looking for a fight"
