Bengoshi no Kuzu wasn't mentioned earlier in the thread. I dunno, I hated it, but Geezer really liked it.
I liked Bengoshi no Kuzu, it had a good atmosphere. The cases weren't really spectacular but the the way the cast played together and the things that recurrently appeared each episode made it quite an entertaining drama to me.

I watched 1/2 of the first episode of the highly recommended Beautiful Life. It looks like it will be a "seat hanger" so I will have to do a marathon this weekend and watch it, since I am back to work during the week now Can't wait to see it though. _________________

Oh well, as for Beautiful Life here is my review of the drama http://www.jdorama.com/viewtopic.2665.100.htm. I'm looking forward to watching Etsushi-san's drama Bad Lawyers soon. I love Jdrama's, 10-11 epi's and your done! _________________

But if they're really good, 11 episodes isn't enough...
Well you have a point there but that means that they can't overdo it which is great and they could always add a SP or movie to extend it too. _________________

Well I was making a thinly-veiled reference to a fave drama that had both an SP and a movie...
I've always considered an "SP" to be a TV-based extension (drama or movie) of the original series, while a "movie" is a theatrical release... Just my POV.

I figured you were referencing Nodame and that's why I asked I'm still convinced that I missed something with that drama although it's been confirmed over and over that I've seen it all. _________________

Maybe you need to watch the anime version and compare notes.

Anyways, I'm off-topic... Sorry.
Off topic but I will attempt to watch an anime again but the voicing of the characters irritate me with the high pitch. I heard from friends that they are not all that way. I'll give it a try again. _________________
