Me too. I think when an actor/actress can play melodrama and comedy it shows great versatility and adds range to their screen presence. That wasn't confusing was it?? I've been watching too many dramas lately.. Need to get some sleep sometime soon! _________________

Someone recommended Megaupload to me so I got an account. I should be able to start watching some of these movies and other dramas everyone is recommending. I'll start with Love Story/Love Letter and then the dog movie too _________________

From what I hear, I can watch the links as videos on megavideo without downloading. But seriously, I thought about it and if I download to watch one drama/movie at a time watch it and then delete it then that's the solution. The bottom line is I am missing out on so many drama/movies and a nice youtube user uploaded and is still uploading some dramas on Mega so I and others can view.... and I found out this is what my BFF does for anime and dramas too, she goes to Mega sometimes and has a paid account but she uses bittorrent most often, all this time and she didn't tell me this.
I just can't understand these crazy regulations that make no sense. I thought about this, why do they make DVR and VCR so that we can record licensed and unlicensed drama and shows and playback at any time for our personal viewing? Is it not the same thing? I'm not selling them or keeping them to burn on DVD I will delete them after watching. _________________

The same could be said for renting videos and copying them for future viewing as well.
Instead of the goofy one's I've been posting lately, here some caps from Aishiteiru to Ittekure.
About the drama, I'm not so fond of the plot development and most of the characters are annoying. But Etsushi-san's character (which is well written) and his acting were worth watching this drama.

I would really like to see him in romance comedy types. I haven't been able to find one yet. Seems like they are all melodrama. ATI was the first drama I watched starring Etsushi-san and I agree with you regarding the other characters. Especially the lead actress I felt she was too immature for him. The lead actress from Long Vacation would have been a great partner for him in ATI.
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
For a silent role, his character was very moving and to have to "sign" his "lines" showed great versatility. He is a very seasoned actor and I think he has become used to such roles, ones that require patience and determination.
Did that make any sense at all? I think I need more sleep _________________

I guess I have to disagree. I always thought of ATI as being a better version of "Orange Days". They're both written by Eriko Kitagawa. And while it's true Takako Tokiwa isn't Tomoko Yamaguchi, who is? She's still a very good actress.
Bengoshi no Kuzu wasn't mentioned earlier in the thread. I dunno, I hated it, but Geezer really liked it.

Really? You compare ATI with Orange Days Oh well, it's your view so I will respect that. Although I see some similarities between ATI and OD, Etsuhsi-san's role in ATI was remarkable in my opinion. You are right, Tomoko Yamaguchi is the one and only but I don't remember seeing Takaka Tokiwa in any other drama I have watched . If she was, then her performance must have been forgettable to me for whatever reason. I probably need to watch another drama with her as the lead in order to make a fair comparison with Tomoko Yamaguchi. But I've only seen Tomoko Yamaguchi once and I remember her, and that was years ago. _________________
