I did a search but couldn't find a thread about him. I thought it was weird because of of his rather big role in Iryu so I hope I'm not wrong.
I personally think Abe has real acting talent and he's become one of my favorite actors. His Arase Monji in Iryu gives me the chills (not in a bad way), he's just so intense. Another memorable role I think was in Kisarazu's Cat Game. He perfectly nailed that type of guy you just love to hate, in my opinion.

Sadao Abe tests positive for Covid-19

Sadao Abe has tested positive for COVID-19 it was announced on October 8th. According to Bunkamura which is staging the new play "Furimun Sisters" due to start on October 24th, his PCR test came back positive last night despite Abe having no symptoms. Abe is also starring in TBS Fall 2020 drama "Koisuru Hahatachi" which starts October 23rd.

I don't know which surprises me more. Abe testing positive for Covid, or the fact that this thread was started nine and a half years ago, has over 18,000 views and your post was the first one in response.

^ Yup. I was originally going to post this in the J-Ent. thread, but just out of curiosity, decided to see if he had his own thread. Bikkurishite, he did.

Maybe the reason for no posts is because he's usually been in a supporting role. Except for "Marumo no Okite" which was a big hit.

He's usually pretty good, but sometimes he does go over the top and gets a little too manic. You want to say, "Calm down Abe. We get it, okay?"
