Haha, I totally agree with the traumatic reaction. That's how I react whenever I see some serious performance by some actor and then see him sing and dance like a fool on a music program. Talk about shattering an image.

Those are great pics, Keps! Now if only someone could take a screencap of that scene where he was bending down and grabbing his legs. And/or of him splitting or doing one of his high kicks. More of his abs would be nice too. _________________

I'm usually don't care about stuff like that. He's actually the first guy that I've been so with after seeing them. I think his flexibility has a lot to do with this slight infatuation as well. _________________

Hmm. Yes.
They aren't doing anything like releasing singles all the time (their latest was in 2006, the one before that 2001) etc, but they have their own projects and cons and they've been doing their stageplay PLAYZONE for forever. It's sold out every year, is released on DVD and the ost as a CD.
2007's DVD was unfortunately cancelled because of the Akasaka-scandal.
Those pictures I posted aren't too old. I can't remember the exact year since I think my magazines from my "total JE-period" (which btw was around 2000. Nowadays I follow groups like SMAP and TOKIO 'cause they're classic, but that's pretty much it for having stronger ties. Higashiyama is on my list forever) are somewhere in Finland now.
Higashiyama can be snarky and he has an image to have a little (...little? ) too much of an ego.
He is, however, a total perfectionist and true professional when it comes to work.
I think there are some PLAYZONE-cuts available on youtube too of him dancing.
It's wonderful, all sharp and control. A dynamic dancer.
He has a dorky side too, and mostly he is just snarky to his juniors and not to "random people". Although I've seen some TV-shows where he totally owned the hosts because they didn't realize he was making fun of them

Ahhhhhh big ego. I can tell. Mind you, I don't have problems with big egos when I think there's every reason to have one. I mean, look at Kanye West. It just gets problematic when the ego takes over.
He seems very composed, and everything about him (and this is quite evident in Kuitan) is just perfect - from his hair (which is never out of place) to the perfect white suit. _________________
