Hi, has anyone taken up Japanese in the language school in Japan as a general course (approx. 1 year)? Does anyone know or can recommend a good Japanese language school in Japan?
The Yamasa Institute has a very good reputation. It's located at Okazaki, a small city not far from Nagoya. I may go there for a year (or longer) after my studies if I don't find an alternative (which is not to expensive) in Tokyo.

Hi, thanks. It really helps a lot. I didnt know there is such an huge institution as I was looking for schools in this website http://www.nisshinkyo.org/ and in the Chiba district. How did you come across this Yamasa Institute and heard of its good reputation? Perhaps I may choose here as I am still awaiting for replies from the other schools in Chiba and time is running short for the April enrolment.

Hi.i found that the school fees of Yamasa Institute and other language schools in japans are quite costly.
May i know is there any economical or cheaper language schools in Japan and yet possess good quality and reputation as Yamasa Institute does?
Thank You.

I'm a frequent poster on a Japanese forum with a handfull of members who go to yamasa, and I've never heard a single person complain. I'm also interested in joining a Japanese language school, but I'm looking for one in Tokyo.
