Final Fantasy VII sequel and new Kingdom Hearts revealed

Square Enix has revealed the first images of the long-rumored RPG sequel, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

Here's the catch: it's now a DVD movie.

Details are scarce, but the movie will be done in computer graphics similar to Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Taking place two years since we left Cloud and company, evil is afoot once again. Confirmed for now is the apperance of everyone's favorite spiky-haired hero with the big sword, plus the return of his nemesis: a certain presumably deceased white haired man who walks softly while carrying a really, really long sword....

The movie is scheduled for a 2004 release.

Square Enix is also developing Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for Gameboy Advance, as well as Kingdom Hearts 2 for Playstation 2. Look below for the first images of both Kingdom Hearts titles as well as FFVII: Advent Children.

to my knowledge square enix has not made any official announcement about this

The scan originates from a shonen jump magazine and the story going around is pretty much made up from that one scan

It could still be announced as a ff7 remake or game sequal yet

Its tokyo game show now so we should wait for an official press release

yeh hopefully ff-vii-2 won't be turned into a movie but be a real game sequel... it's been ages since i really enjoyed a game as good as ff-vii
