Hitoshi Tamaki to star in Fuji TV 2015 Winter drama
Tamaki Hiroshi will be starring in the new FujiTV Winter 2015 drama "Zannen na Otto" (The Disappointing Husband) due to begin its run from 14 Jan in the Wednesdays 10pm timeslot. He plays the role of a man working at a housing company who looks like the perfect husband because of his looks, character and abilities and is on good terms with his wife played by Kurashina Kana who adores and respects him a lot. However, with the birth of their first child, her character goes through a total change where she starts to find fault with him about things which used to be bearable to her and becomes so hysterical that he starts to see her as a "monster wife". He cannot find a reason as to why she is behaving like this and becomes "downgraded" to a disappointing husband in her eyes.
Tamaki commented that although he has a favourable image of marriage personally, to play such a role at this point of his life is considered as a good learning experience for him. He also hopes to make this character believable and for everyone to be able to identify with through watching the drama. On the other hand, Kurashina who is also single, said that it is a first experience for her to play a wife and mother so she is looking forward to acting in this drama.
Other co-stars include Kishitani Goro who plays Tamaki's superior, Otsuka Nene who plays his wife as well as EXILE's Kuroki Keiji, Hayashi Kento, Takahashi Maryjun and Asada Miyoko.
Miyazaki Aoi and Tamaki Hiroshi to appear in next 'Asadora'
As reported in March, actress Haru was chosen as the next heroine for the new 'Asadora (Morning drama)' titled "Asa ga Kita".
Today, NHK introduced the other actors of the main cast and one of them is popular actress Miyazaki Aoi, who is going to play the heroine's older sister. It's a great addition to the new drama, considering that she herself already starred in the 2006 asadora "Junjo Kirari" and the 2008 taiga drama "Atsuhime".
Haru is afraid of becoming homesick during the 9-month long filming period and asked Miyazaki for advice. Unfortunately, she isn't the best person to consult, because she replied, "I got to film it in Tokyo back then, so I went home everyday."
Actor Tamaki Hiroshi is also going to support Haru as her on-screen husband in "Asa ga Kita". He commented, "It's been 12 years since my last asadora. I'm somewhat anxious about living in Osaka."
The remaining cast consists of Kondo Masaomi as Tamaki's father, Fubuki Jun as his mother, Enomoto Tasuku as Miyazaki's husband, Manda Hisako as Miyazaki's mother-in-law, and Tatsumi Takuro as her father-in-law.
"Asa ga Kita" is modeled after businesswoman Hirooka Asako, who lived during the end of the Edo Period to the Taisho Period. It depicts the life of "Asa" (Haru), who marries a man running a prominent money-exchange business in Osaka and makes every effort to run a colliery company, to establish a bank, and more on behalf of her prodigal husband.
I can't say I'm excited about Tamaki's role, and I'd wanted him to play Miyazaki's husband. But still, it's always good that he's getting roles. I'll probably check it out just for him and Miyazaki anyway. _________________

Hiroshi Tamaki to star in TV Tokyo Special
Tamaki Hiroshi will be starring in the TV Tokyo drama SP "Kyoaku wa nemurasenai Tokusou Kenji no gyakushuu" (Great evil does not go to sleep The counterattack of the special investigation unit prosecutor) which is part of the special project to commemorate the TV station's move to Roppongi. This is the first leading role in a private network drama for Tamaki after he acted in the NHK morning drama "Asa ga kita". The drama SP is based on the novel titled "Baikoku" (Treason) written by Mayama Jin and is the first work from him to be made into a private network drama. The drama SP will be directed by Wakamatsu Setsuro while the script is written by Kaneko Arisa.
Tamaki plays the role of Tominaga Shinichi who is a public prosecutor new at the special investigation unit who takes part in an investigation involving a big-name politician's illegal donations case. With the sudden disappearance of his childhood friend, Tominaga also gets embroiled in a scandal involving a space exploration project. At the same time, a young researcher at JAXA named Hattanda Haruka who has to struggle with the conflicts between dreams and justice.
Tamaki recounted that when he first read the script, he thought that this is a very challenging drama. As this drama is presented by highlighting evil, this will get viewers to think of what justice really means. In addition, as Tominaga is a new member of the special investigation unit despite being experienced and already in his mid 30s, Tamaki thinks that it's important to show this side of his character.

Hiroshi Tamaki to star in new movie "Aku to Kamen no Ruuru"
Tamaki Hiroshi will be starring in the real-life movie adaptation of novel "Aku to kamen no ruuru" (The rules of evil and the mask / English title: Evil and the Mask) by Akutagawa Award-winning writer Nakamura Fuminori which was listed as one of the top 10 mystery novels of 2013 by Wall Street Journal. The movie will be directed by Nakamura Teppei and is scheduled to be shown in cinemas next year.
Tamaki plays the lead character Kuki Fumihiro who was born into a rich family. The story begins at the time when Fumihiro was only 10 years old and came to know about the secret behind his birth and upbringing. His birth father who was the head of the household told him how he had raised his son with the aim of turning the latter into a personification of evil and "promised" to show him hell on his 14th birthday. However, one year before that, he was made to see hell first hand when Kaori, his father's adopted daughter and whom he liked, was raped in front of him. In order to protect his beloved, Fumihiro killed his father which meant that he was one step closer to the evil which his father wanted him to become. He then disappeared from Kaori's side and took on a new identity as Shintani Koichi who protects Kaori from the shadows over more than ten years. While doing so, he comes into contact again with the evil in the Kuki family...
Tamaki commented that his character is a very delicate person and it is difficult to play him. Although Fumihiro went through plastic surgery to change his looks, it can't change his interior which consists of his rational side to fight against evil and his weakness deep within. He hopes that this movie will help viewers relook at their ideas of what kindness, evilness, true love, family and friends mean to them.

Saw this news and am happy for him Sounds like a pretty dark and challenging role. I'm going to hunt for the novel as well, looks like it'll be a good read. _________________

Hiroshi Tamaki to return in TV Tokyo drama special
Tamaki Hiroshi will be returning in the TV Tokyo drama SP "Kyoaku wa nemurasenai Tokusou Kenji no Hyouteki" (Great evil does not go to sleep The target of the prosecutor) to reprise his role as public prosecutor Tominaga Shinichi. The first drama SP of the same series titled "Kyoaku wa nemurasenai Tokusou kenji no gyakushuu" was shown in October last year and the sequel is due to be shown within this year.
In this latest SP based on the novel titled "Hyouteki" by Mayama Jin, Tominaga will be investigating a big-name female politician Koshimura Miyabi who is the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare on allegations of receiving bribes. Koshimura is highly regarded to be on the path to become Japan's first female prime minister and known as a driving force to push forward reforms in social welfare. Tominaga then sets out to investigate the case while faced with various obstacles in the complicated world of national politics. Natori Yuko will be playing the role of Koshimura while Tominaga's superior Hase Kiichi i.e. the assistant director of the prosecutors department will be played by Okuda Eiji. Tominaga's admin officer Igarashi Tetsuo will be played by Hagiwara Masato while the director of the prosecutors department Iwashita Nozomi will be played by Hada Michiko. Other co-stars include Takizawa Saori who plays Tominaga's colleague Fujiyama Ayumi and Tamura Ryo who plays Tominaga's father Kazuo who is a wagashi master in Kyoto.
Tamaki commented that he hopes that this drama will be a reflection of the voices of the people and reach the top of the political world as well. Although the role of Tominaga is not an easy one to play, he felt that being able to take on this character is a way of helping him to grow and hopes that there will be a day when the drama becomes a full series. Meanwhile, Mayama expressed his joy at seeing his novel being made into a drama again so quickly and revealed that the ending of the drama will be different from the novel. As such, the readers will also be able to enjoy the drama and raise their awareness of the illogical things happening in Japanese politics.

Didn't know she was pregnant.
Hiroshi Tamaki and Haruka Kinami welcome their first child
Hiroshi Tamaki and Haruka Kinami have welcomed their first child.
On August 4th, 'NEWS Post Seven' spoke with an acquaintance of Tamaki who leaked the news of their new baby. Afterwards, ORICON STYLE contacted both of their agencies who confirmed the news. However, they did not release any information on the baby saying, "We are unable to talk about their private matters."
Nobody knew she was pregnant, honestly. They kept it really quiet, just like the time they dropped the bombshell they were getting married and everyone was like "wut? they were dating?". _________________
