Boku dake no Madonna [僕だけのマドンナ] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Really light-hearted and funny. Lots of wacky characters with Tackey (Kyoichi/"Kyon") serving as the straight-man. His character is a little dumb and gets pushed around a lot by everyone, but he's likeable. Didn't really like Kyoko Hasegawa's character, she was selfish and bratty. It's not the deepest drama, and it's a bit cliched, but all in all, just a good amusing drama.
Boku no Ikiru Michi [僕の生きる道] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) My favorite drama ever. Really moving with a powerful message. Starts off a little slow, with a lack of chemistry between Tsuyoshi and Akiko Yada, but it does get really moving. Episodes 9 and 11 especially really got to me. The epilogue in the final episode hits hard. Also, try to track down the 7/7/2003 episode of SMAPxSMAP, a special episode dedicated to this drama, entitled "Boku to Anata no Ikiru Michi ~ONE DAY~" It serves as a little bit of a further epilogue to the drama.
Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no Ikiru Michi [僕と彼女と彼女の生きる道] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Not as good as Boku no Ikiru Michi, but a worthy successor. It's not especially that realistic, either, and it lacks the direct emotional impact of Boku no Ikiru Michi. A lot of the themes are fairly heavy-handed and obvious, and the writers were pretty shameless in exploiting Rin-chan's character to evoke emotional responses out of the viewer. However, don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it. There were lots of nice moments, especially between Tsuyoshi and Rin-chan.
It drags a bit in the middle, but (SPOILER!) after the return of Kanako and in the last couple of episodes especially it really picks back up.
Good Luck !! [グッドラック！！] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Great, great drama. Really interesting as a portrayal of what happens behind the scenes of an airline, and since it was produced with the cooperation of ANA, I assume it's fairly accurate as far as the technical details. Really strong characterizations all around, as almost all of the characters are varied and not just one-dimensional stereotypes as you see in dramas sometimes. I like how the characters also had their own roles and identities as well as their own subplots, instead of just merely serving to play off Kimutaku. All the principals are good in their parts, like Takuya, Kou and Shinichi Tsutsumi. Also some strong supporting parts by the late Ikariya Chousuke as Shinkai's father, and Naoto Takenaka providing some great comic relief in a smaller role.
