Hana Yori Dango [花より男子] Hands down, THE BEST J-DRAMA I've watched yet. I watch everything else more critically now, because I'm always going to compare it (even on an unconscious level) to "Hana Yori Dango." It's the best television I've ever seen in my life, way better than any American TV shows I've seen. I don't understand Japanese too well, so I rely on subtitles. Nothing gets lost in translation; each episode makes me laugh, cry, empathize, etc. Freaking LOVE this drama; I could watch it a billion times and never get tired of it.
Akanishi Jin [赤西仁] He's a very natural star...talented (easily the best singer and best dancer to come out of JE), charismatic, handsome, sweet, and very endearing. He's just perfection. And the camera loves him. I very much look forward to seeing him in more dramas and onstage (where he rules).
Inoue Mao [井上真央] She plays Makino on HYD to perfection. She will go far; damn can this girl act!
Matsumoto Jun [松本潤] What can I say, he's amazing. I love this guy...he was amazing in "Gokusen" (I'm a total Shinkumi shipper), but then he just blew me away in "HYD"! He plays Tsukasa to perfection....great actor!
Oguri Shun [小栗旬] HOT! Love this guy in everything I've seen him in...and I've seen interviews too; he always seems so sweet and shy and good-natured. So kawaii!! He is a very versatile actor, too, a real chameleon.
Shibasaki Kou [柴咲コウ] Became an instant fan after I saw her in "Battle Royale" and have since watched a lot more of her dramas and movies. She's an amazing actress with great range. Also very beautiful and unique looking. (And I love her music, too!)
Tsumabuki Satoshi [妻夫木聡] He's so cute when he smiles! I think he's very talented...I know he often gets cast as the romantic lead, but I think he has a lot of range. He can do comedy well, too. He was terrific in "Orange Days." Also...I paid $9 to see "F&F: Tokyo Drift" JUST to see him for 5 seconds! Hahaha, he's awesome.
Yamashita Tomohisa [山下智久] He is ten kinds of awesome! I really liked him in NwP and Kurosagi... he's cute as hell, too. Such a sweet boy, charming personality, will go very far with his career.

Gokusen [ごくせん] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) very entertaining; terrific acting especially from Yukie and Matsujun; somewhat formulaic storylines but very much enhanced by the characters and the acting; addictive
Gokusen Season 2 [ごくせん２] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Basically a rehashing of the first Gokusen: new school and new students, but pretty much the same plots. Lost its first season freshness and charm, but still pretty entertaining. I'm also really glad I watched this because it was the first time I've seen or heard of Jin Akanishi and goddamn he is HOT.
Hana Yori Dango [花より男子] Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched) I'd give this an 10000000/10 if I could; this is hands down the BEST J-drama I've ever watched; endlessly engrossing and entertaining throughout; v.v. well-acted; funny, moving, heartwarming; made me laugh and cry; flat out AMAZING...especially the ending
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ] Rating: 10/10 (Watched) the very first J-drama I've seen; beautiful story; acting is terrific; Kou Shibasaki and Satoshi Tsumabuki look great and have great chemistry; touching plotlines; extremely sweet love story
