Densha Otoko [電車男] Rating: 7/10 (Watched) Gives a fairy tale ending to the love life of an otaku. Interesting how it shows the internet as a means by which the main character obtains adive and moral support from kindred spirits. | Dragon Zakura [ドラゴン桜] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) More realistic and grounded than its contemporaries (GTO, Gokusen and Gachi baka!). I like the fact that the plot is focused on a single objective. | Gachi Baka ! [ガチバカ !] Rating: 6/10 (Watched) The plot is unoriginal however, it tries to remain both relevant and entertaining. Kudos to the lead star and the young cast that did its best to make the series watchable. |
Hoshi no kinka 1 [星の金貨] (Watched) Poignant. A classic drama with a superb cast. | Slow Dance [スローダンス] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) A series that is aptly titled, the development of the relationships in the series are hesitant and gradual-- just like a slow dance. | Trick [トリック] Rating: 9/10 (Watched) Simply entertaining. Great rapport between Abe Hiroshi and Nakame Yuke. |
Trick Season 3 [トリック3] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Still has the elements of the first two seasons but not as funny. The last episode is a must-see for fans of the series. | Wedding Planner [ウエディングプランナー] Rating: 8/10 (Watched) Light-viewing, a series that anyone can enjoy. Written like a sitcom, with witty banter and a foreseen happy ending. | |
