Garasu no kamen 1 [ガラスの仮面]
A very "Adachi Yumi" drama. [Rating: 7/10]
I like the drama cos I like Adachi Yumi since "Without Family". This drama has strong manga element in its storyline, so it's a little like reading manga, since it's based on one. Therefore the storyline is a bit stereotype in some parts and exaggerating. But I can handle that. Afterall, it's a story to entertain , not to make believe. And the ending, it gives a hint that there will be a second part to it and of coz you will want to watch it. Like in "Without Family" Adachi Yumi played a poor ordinary girl with an extraordinary life, her struggle to survive in the infamous acting industry. Adachi indeed fit the character well, cute yet ordinary, a little too short though. And she did a good job playing Maya I think, though sometimes her acting was a bit unnatural. Other casts like Tanabe Seiichi, I began to like his character after the first few episodes. Not bad. Also, I like Kohashi Kenji and Matsumoto Megumi, a fair part they played in this drama. And not to forget Nogiwa Yoko, who played Tsukikage sensei. I like her part, despite of that wig which looked a bit weird on her and the black dress that she never changed. Overall it's interesting, and I was hooked on it. Worth a watch. And if you are a big fan of Adachi like me, then you shouldn't miss it.
