Age 35 koishikute [Age,35 恋しくて] Suteki yo!!! [Rating: 9/10] I really liked this drama! The story itself doesn't sound all that special but somehow the way the plot unfolds makes the story really worth watching. Tanaka Misako is superb in this drama and I really like the chemistry between her and Shinna Kippei. | Friends very average drama... not really worth watching! [Rating: 4/10] Definitely not one of Wakui Emi's better efforts. The story centers around single people alone in the big city - not a bad theme but never picks up momentum. Hamada Masatoshi is a jaded paparazzi photographer who encounters Wakui Emi after she accidentally blocks his view while he's trying to snap a secret picture exposing two popstars... and this photo gets her fired from her job. Tokio's Yamaguchi Tatsuya is Hama-chan's assistant who falls for Takeuchi Yuuko, a girl who was crippled in an accident involving Hama-chan. Shefeeds off his guilt over this by asking him for money all the time. |
Happy mania [ハッピーマニア] Lightweight but fun!! [Rating: 7/10] Fun frothy and lots of eye-candy. Not my usual choice of drama at all but for some reason, I found it really appealing. The relationship between Inamori Izumi and Kaneko Ken is really touching and makes you want to vouch for them. A lot of fun!
| Koi wo nan nen sundemasu ka? I enjoyed it.... [Rating: 7/10] Not your fast-paced drama and the story needs a reality check but still, it's thoughtfully scripted and the acting (esp by Kyon Kyon) is good. The story invovlves three married women at crossroads in their marriage. The main problem is that there is literally no chemisty between any of the three leading ladies and their men. Still, I liked the dialogue and some of the insights that came through as the plot developed. A comforting drama but you have to be in the mood for it. |
