V6 to release "Best Of" cd covering their 20 year career

V6 will release a best-of album titled "SUPER Very best" on July 29.

The album will be released to commemorate the group's 20th anniversary. It will come in 3 discs including all 45 singles from their debut "MUSIC FOR THE PEOPLE" to their latest "Timeless". It will be released in 3 different versions: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Loppi�EHMV Edition, which will all include brand new songs.

The Limited Editions will come with 2 DVDs containing PVs for the new songs, approximately 100 minutes of special footage, and making-of footage.

Finally, the album will be available in a Complete Production Edition, also called "V6 20th ANNIVERSARY SHOP Edition". Besides the 3 CDs, it will come with 4 DVDs containing PVs for 53 songs. Those who purchase this version will have their name printed on the jacket sleeve.

V6's new single to include songs by 20th Century and Coming Century

V6's new single "Beautiful World" will be released on June 8.

The single will be released in three different versions: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Regular Edition. The Limited Editions will come with a DVD containing PVs, making of videos, and special footage. The Regular Edition will include songs by sub-units 20th Century and Coming Century for the first time in three years.

V6 to release double-A side single in May

V6 will release a new single, "COLORS/Taiyou to Tsuki no Kodomotachi" on May 3rd.

"COLORS" will be used as the theme song for Yoshihiko Inohara's drama "Keishicho Sousa Ikea 9 Gakari season 12" on TV Asahi. "Taiyou to Tsuki no Kodomotachi" has been picked for NHK's "Minna no Uta" in April and May.

Limited Editions A and B will come with a DVD including music videos and making of videos and other special footage.

V6 will release their 50th single "Super Powers/Right Now" on January 16th.

"Super Powers" is the theme song for the anime 'ONE PIECE'.

The single will be released in Limited Editions A & B, and a Regular Edition.

First SMAP, now these guys.

V6 disbanding on November 1st

V6 will be disbanding on November 1st.

The disbandment was announced on March 12th thru Johnny's & Associates' official website. As all of the members are now in their forties, Morita Go expressed his wishes of leaving the agency in order to challenge himself as an actor. The other members respected his wishes, and as they started to think about their own growth, they wanted to challenge themselves to the next step as well. Moreover, they felt that "V6 wouldn't be V6 without these six members." So, they decided to disband.

While Morita will leave Johnny's & Associates on November 1st, Sakamoto Masayuki, Nagano Hiroshi, Inohara Yoshihiko, Miyake Ken, and Okada Junichi will remain with the agency. Also, 20th Century, which is comprised on Sakamoto, Nagano, and Inohara will continue their activities, while Coming Century, comprised of Morita, Miyake, and Okada, will end their activities.

V6 announce final tour and 14th album

V6 will hold a nationwide tour called 'LIVE TOUR V6 groove' from September to November.

'LIVE TOUR V6 groove' will be their final tour as they will be disbanding on November 1st. It's scheduled to kick off on September 4 at Marine Messe Fukuoka and wrap up on November 1st at Makuhari Messe in Chiba for a total of 17 shows. There will also be live streaming available for the finale.

Additionally, V6 will release their 14th album "STEP" made entirely of brand new songs produced by the members. The release date is set for September 4th, but sales will begin on August 31st.
