It certainly seems the fate of this plane and its passengers has been sealed. The people looking for this plane have to be searching in the wrong place or else this plane is already on the ocean floor. Baffling and sad.

So finally some concrete details were provided by the Malaysian government and they announced that this plane was diverted off course by deliberate human intervention, it seems.

Would finding out 'why' help them with the whereabouts?

I sympathise with all the families, esp the crews' families. Anyone with aeronautical skills are examined for terrorist tendencies and all their privacy were ripped apart by the media to spin sensationalism.

My hope remains the same. Finding all the passengers will bring closure to the bereaved. Finding the reason merely absolves the airline or airport authorities or Malaysian government from legal responsibilities.

No but in the technological age which we live in a plane that weighs half a million pounds and has a 20 story wing span carrying 200 plus passengers that vanishes without a trace challenges our assumptions, as unfortunate as it is.

The problem is the Malaysian government seems out of their depth with regards to the investigation. I not only sympathize with the crew but all the passengers, and their families, most of the them if not all who are most likely free of any culpability.

Now they're saying that the diverted flight path was entered 12 minutes BEFORE the co-pilot said "Alright, Good night."

If that's true that something is really rotten in Denmark and that really points to some sort of deliberative act that doesn't jive....

Dunno why it took them this long to come out with that critical timeline...bungling fools.
