Hmm, I don't really like stuff that makes you cry, so Beautiful Life is not high on my list, I have to say. Even though it does look pretty good, from stuff I'v read here and elsewhere.

I'd be very curious to see how the wheelchair stuff is handled though.

Personally, my wheelchair needs to be stuck to my ass at all times - unless I'm in a vehicle - or else I just won't move an inch.

It doesn't collapse either, so unless a door is wide enough to get my wide-ass wheelchair through, I'm not going to get through that door (I have a wide ass ).

yeah it was a collapsable wheelchair that was made from an apparently lightweight metal or alloy....because the female protagonist was able to enter her vehicle to drive and then subsequently "break down' the wheelchair and then place it in her vehicle without assistance, before driving off.

the drama doesn't focus too much on her illness aside from the fact that it's a condition that has left her unable to walk...as mentioned above by tabana, the drama does address the issues of living in a big city like tokyo which has establishments that aren't all together wheelchair accessible.

well if you ever decide to watch it...you'll definitely be treated to a showcase of great acting by a pair with exceptional chemistry.

Hey Tu_Triky, if the drama doesn't dwell on the illness a lot, maybe I would enjoy it. I was just worried it was going to be a mansize box of tissues per episode.

I'm very interested in the access-in-Japan angle too, so I probably will watch this at some point.

don't get me wrong this drama is definitely a tear-jerker thoughy you might want to have the tissues on hand, just in case.

obviously i don't think most native japanese women are that tall so you'd find yourself in rarefied air in that regard!
