yeah, she left the group back in Dec, and graduated.

I don't follow Momusu as much, but I would still consider myself a fan of Momusu, and more specifically Ai, Risa, JunJun, and LinLin are among my favorites.

its hard to believe i am dredging, digging up this thread,
I don't really follow this group much anymore, since i've been so busy with work and in my personal journey in life, but my adoration for Ai hasn't waned too much, and I am greatly surprised she is still in the group, leading.

This group is in for huge dynamic changes in the months to come, as recently 3 of the 8 girls announced they were graduating, and leaving in the fall.

The 2 chinese members of Momusu, LinLin, and one of my favorites, Jun Jun. I feel it has come that they are ready to fly and embark on their own careers in China, good for them.

Eri Kamei is leaving for medical, personal reasons as stated on the Hello Online forum website, I wish her the best in her future endeavors.

As for the remaining 5 gals, including my other 2 favorite gals Ai Takahashi, and Risa, I still adore them, but do not really follow this group much, just on occasion, but I still hope this group continues and prospers with audition #9's selection of new girls added to Momusu in the months to follow.

Honestly, I wouldn't know Kaori Iida if she hit me in the head with a shovel. But when a (former) Morning Musume member announces they've had a baby, it's kind of like when I heard Jerry Mathers of 'Leave It to Beaver' was in the Marines.

Former Morning Musume member Iida Kaori has baby boy

Former Morning Musume member Iida Kaori announced on her official blog that she gave birth to a baby boy at 9:12 on May 13.

Through a blog post titled gAnnouncementh, she wrote, gIfm full of happiness as I am now able to hold my baby who Ifve wanted to see. Seeing him crying hard, but falling asleep when I or my husband hold him, make me realize that Ifve become a parent. Ifm sure there will be many difficult times ahead, but together with this baby, I want to grow, and become a firm mother.h

Iida married Kenji, the vocalist of a rock band 7HOUSE (disbanded in 2002), back in July of 2007. Since then, Iida had refrained from her activities, but made a comeback with a concert in January of 2009. She also became a member of Dream Morning Musume in 2011.

Congratulations to the family!

Who knows, this bit of trivia might get you a free drink in an Osaka bar some day:

Sayumi Michishige becomes longest tenured member of Morning Musume

On October 12th, Morning Musume's Michishige Sayumi became the member with the longest tenure in the group's history.

Michishige joined the group as a 6th generation member on January 19, 2003. The 12th marked 3,920 days since she's been in the group. She has surpassed Niigaki Risa who previously held this record.

Michishige reported on her official blog, "The date changed so now it's 10/12... As of today, I, Michishige Sayumi, have the longest tenure among the successive members of Morning Musume. That is... I've set a new record for the longest tenure!!" She also revealed, "My 11th year since entering Morning Musume... I never thought I would be the longest member in Morning Musume, so I'm happy!! Of course I'm feeling this way!! But honestly, I also feel, is it okay for me to be the longest member?"

Michishige continued by expressing, "It is such an honor, and I am very grateful! It's all thanks to everyone who always support me. Thank you very very much!!!!" She then talked about her love for the group, "When I think back at it, my love for Morning Musume has always been strong, for 11 years, since I entered until now. In Morning Musume, there are many difficult and frustrating things, there are even times when I get lonely, but I was able to make it this far because of my love and faith in Morning Musume. This will never change."

Finally, she said, "From now on, I will work even harder. Please continue to support me."

I saw them on J-Melo Sunday... up until then, I always thought their name was Morning Museum.

Not a fan, btw.
