Southern All Stars to release first original album in 10 years
Southern All Stars' new original album will be released on March 31.
With the new album, they will also hold a nation-wide tour, which is also their first in 10 years. It will be held in 10 locations with 21 shows including the 5 major domes.
The new album will be their first album in about 10 years, as their last one was "Killer Street" which became a million-seller album, released in October 2005.
Originally, they were aiming to complete the album by the end of this year, but according to the officials, they are still working on it in order to make the album high-quality.
Fans can listen to the preview of 3 new songs that will be included in the new album starting on January 1st through CM spots. The 3 songs are "Iya na Koto darake no Yononaka de", the theme song for the upcoming TBS drama "Ryusei Wagon" (to begin on January 18), "Aloe", the CM song for WOWOW2015, and "Heiwa no Kane ga Naru", the image song for NHK's 90th anniversary.

SAKEROCK to release final album 'Sayonara' and disband in June
SAKEROCK will release their 5th and final album 'SAYONARA' on April 8, and will disband after their concert "LAST LIVE 'ARIGATO'" on June 2 at Ryogoku Kokugikan.
The album will be released with the 5 original members, including Nomura Takuji and Tanaka Kei, who have already withdrawn from the band. After their withdrawal, the members have been focusing on their solo activities, thus making it difficult to be active as a band. While thinking about disbandment, leader Hoshino Gen planned a last album with the original 5 members, as well as a last live. "Because we are disbanding, I thought it would be right to invite the two, who have already withdrawn, for one last time," he said. The members all agreed on Hoshino's suggestion and they recorded an original album consisting of 10 songs.

Bump of Chicken to release double-A side single in April
BUMP OF CHICKEN will release a double A-side single titled "Hello, world! / Colony" on April 22.
"Hello, world!" was written as the opening theme for TV anime 'Kekkai Sensen' which will premiere on MBS, TOKYO MX, and BS11 in April. Regarding their collaboration with the anime, the members commented, "We feel very happy to receive the offer to provide the theme song for the anime adaptation of manga 'Kekkai Sensen', which all the members enjoy reading, and also have this opportunity to work with director Matsumoto Rie. The trailer itself looks really cool, so we're eagerly waiting for the actual anime."
Meanwhile, "Colony" will be used as the theme song for the movie 'Kiseijuu Kanketsu-hen' that's slated to drop in theaters nationwide on April 25. This is the sequel to the 'Kiseijuu' movie that was released last year which BUMP OF CHICKEN also provided the theme song for.
The single will be released in 3 different versions: Limited Edition, Complete Production Edition, and Regular Edition. The First Press Editions will enclose an entry ticket to win tickets to the band's album release concert.

Budo Grape to release two new singles
Nagoya-based New-Wave band Budo Grape has released 2 new digital singles on iTunes this month, their first new material since 2014's full-length album Amsterdam.
With quirky vocals (Quminco), sharp keyboards (Naho), lean bass (Matsui) and drums (Taichi), and punk-inspired guitar from band leader Nagai, Budo Grape has won many fans abroad since their overseas debut at A-Kon in Dallas, Texas, in 2008 and subsequent tours of the UK.
The upbeat "4-3-2-1 Hi o Tukero" and dark, trippy "Zankoku Na Yasashisa" are available at iTunes now.
BudoGrape is a catchy, high energy avant-garde pop band from Nagoya, Japan. With a style often compared to the B-52s, the band is fronted by model and radio personality Quminco and Nagoya music legend Nagai of the "Shockers".
Formed in 2001, BudoGrape released their first full album Koibito wa Koishite Tsukuru in 2005. The album was a hit in the Japanese underground scene and was followed up with the 2006 release Soko kara Detekinasai and 2007s Otonatachi x Kodomotachi.
In 2008, BudoGrape released their fourth album Aimore and performed their first American tour, with appearances in Dallas, TX (A-Kon), San Antonio, TX (Slim's Burger Joint), and New York (Knitting Factory). Inspired by their overseas fans, they returned to the studio that same year to release the EP Five Hits and Dust.
2009s Himitsu Gallery would be the band's final recording for three years as each member worked on various side projects, including a Shockers reunion. The band reunited for the 2012 album Kare no Namae wo Omoidasenai, and performed their first UK Tour in October 2012.
After a return to the UK in 2013, Budo Grape released their 6th full-length album Amsterdam in 2014, followed by two digital singles "4-3-2-1 Hi o Tukero" and "Zankoku Na Yasashisa" in 2015.
The band claim to come from "Neo-Nagoya." They continue to tour Japan with their crazy live show and catchy songs.

"compared to the B-52s". I'm having a hard time imagining any Japanese person as loopy as Fred Schneider. _________________ "They're real and they're spectacular"
