A few days ago I decided to watch an old Drama that I found (surprisingly) was still available on D-Addicts; Mama wa Idol. It's a Drama from 1987 starring Nakayama Miho. So far, I'm really enjoying it! I like the characters and setting and I hope to see more older Dramas in the same vein as this one.
It's just too bad that my Wii won't allow me to watch the episodes as I want them, since everything is out of synch. Oh well, I'll just have to watch everything on my PC, then.
Watching this Drama has made me quite a fan of Nakayama Miho, though. I've been listening to Hade!!! the last two days, and have even purchased the Famicom Disk System game Nakayama Miho no Tokimeki High School. And before you ask... I don't own a Famicom Disk System...
Not a very big role, surprisingly.... I thought there would be more interaction between him and Ryoko-chan.
Hmm, that's odd, seeing his name is right after Ryoko's in the cast list. Oh well. I just hope he doesn't turn evil later on. I just finished episode 1, not too bad - the usual silliness at the hospital and all. The Mabuchi woman is freaky, she gives me the creeps. _________________

alrighty.
i've just started on Saigo Kara Nibanme. i had just watched Shokuzai and i was curious to check out something else with Koizumi Kyoko.
here's the funny part. as i started watching, i thought at first, she was Yonekura Ryoko! haha
Aaaand. i'm also getting ready to start watching Doctor X 2!
are these two related? i mean not only do they look alike, but they act alike!
I was going to pass on it because a) I'm not a big science fiction fan, and b) I've always thought of Hideaki Ito as just a "pretty boy turned actor".
But looking at the comments everybody gave it at least an "8" and besides it's got Hiroshi Abe and Nene Otsuka as real actors for back up. First episode was pretty good.

Finished 'Yasha'. Pretty good, really surprised by what a great job Hideaki Ito did.
One minor point, I know why they did it. It was so we would know which twin was which, but it struck as kind of odd that if Sei was this biological super-marvel, why does he have to wear glasses?

In the last couple of weeks I've finished:
Kaiki Daisakusen Mystery File - only 4 eps., very B movie-ish, fun mindless entertainment!
Hard Nuts! Suugaku girl No Koisuru Jikenbo - Think Galileo with main characters genders reversed. Not bad, kinda cute. Don't know if I'd watch it again though.
Keiji No Manazashi - Very emo.
Yorozu Uranaidokoro Onmyoya E Yokoso - Light hearted, kinda silly but I liked it for some reason, plus Sugi Ryotaro is always a good thing!

Anyway, back on topic, watched the first episode of 'Ashita, mama ga inai'. I can see why that hospital is upset, it's pretty heavy handed. The writer obviously went to the 'Dickens with a sledgehammer' school of writing.
Hiroshi Mikami as the person in charge of the group home makes Yuki Amami's character in 'Queen's Classroom' look like Snow White. I didn't recognize Suzuka Ohgo as the girl with the eye patch until the credits rolled up. She's a very good actress but haven't seen her in anything since 'Samurai High School' back in 2009. Ashida and Suzuki were good as expected but unless they tone it down this has the potential to be really, really bad.
One thing I did learn about Suzuki is that she's left handed and she's got a pretty good arm!
They've started showing 'Iryu Sosa':http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1610.htm locally. Up to episode 3, it took awhile to get into it but I really like Kamikawa's character Itomura. He's a lot more realistic than Sugishita of 'Aibou', that guy is just totally weird, Itomura is more like a real person.

in "Ashita, mama ga inai" - I just noticed that Hiroshi Murakami and Kimura Fumino have reunited again, they played Father and daugther in last year's "Furueru Ushi (k鋍)"
i have yet to see a dorama with Fumino's character that doesn't have any dark side to it. Any recommendations?
