They've expanded on Ryoko Kuninaka's character. Looks like her marriage is in trouble.

To any guy that can't stay married to Ryoko Kuninaka all I can say is, "Sir, you are an idiot!!"

Also up to epi 6 of "Going My Home".

If somebody asked me what it's about, I'd have to say, "It's about 6 episodes long so far. But I don't have the slightest idea what it's about!!"

Episode 5 of "Priceless".

I don't think this will rank up there with the Kimtaku Klassics like "Beautiful Life" or "Long Vacation", but miles better than "Mr. Brain" or "Tsuki no Koibito". Probably falls into the second tier with dramas like "Good Luck" or "Engine".

Also up to episode 5 of "Osozaki no , , ".

For some reason they're trying to make Yoko Maki look plain which is clearly an exercise in futility. Some serious eye candy here though. In addition to Maki and Kuninaka, there's Yu Kashii (http://jdorama.com/artiste.1652.htm) who I had never really noticed before, but I'm noticing now!

In real life she's married to Odagiri Joe. Joe definitely got the better end of that deal!!

Episode 5 of PRICELESS & like it so far. Enjoying the interplay between the characters.

Episode 2 of BULL DOCTOR. So far, so good. Not outstanding, but good.

Just finished BEAUTIFUL RAIN. Very good, but from beginning to end because I knew how it was going end.

Finished GTO.
Preferred the anime.
Can think of several High School dramas I would recommend first.

On ep 4 of Hana Yori Dango, another better as an anime series.

Saw a few eps of Bartender, light and silly.

On episode 41 of TOshiie To Matsu.
Kind of bummed that its coming to an end.

Watched the first 5 episodes of Hitori Shizuka. Sweet Kaho is cast against her innocent school girl type, which is certainly good for her acting chops.
Solid mystery stuff but not the best Wowwow drama. I feel it lacks some tension.

Also watching Yuusha Yoshihiko season 2 and just had a good laugh at their Kinpachi spoof.

I dropped most shows this season though I am still watching Osozaki, and I think I'll catch up with Going my home and Priceless during the Christmas holidays.

Episode 6 of 'Priceless'. Kagawa Teruyuki has showed up. Looks like he may be playing the part of the cavalry coming to the rescue.

Only a couple eps left of TOshiie.
I want to watch Aoi Tikugawa next but husband wants to see Dae Jung Guem. Hoping I can change his mind. Id like to go on to the next regime while everything is fresh in my mind.

Tried Wakaba for ten or so eps. Its pretty good for an asadora.
But I think the format is not really for me.
Going to try Ohisama though as it is a period Asadora. I might like that more.

"Ohisama" is a lot better than "Wakaba" IMHO. "Wakaba" isn't bad, just pretty standard asadora, but I really liked "Ohisama".

Episode 7 of "Priceless". Sei Hiraizumi (http://jdorama.com/artiste.153.htm) showed up which makes it an official drama now.

This episode ran about 10 minutes longer and it looks like the next episode will as well. Can't get enough of Kimtaku, I guess.

Saw episode 9 of "Going My Home". Still not a fan of this drama but there was a scene near the end and Nishida is the only person that could have pulled that off.

But that's just a symptom of bigger problems this drama had.

Is anyone watching Hitori Shizuka? Just saw episode 5 of 6 and wow! Impressive! If the finale doesn't disappoint, it will be the best series this year imho.

^ Looks interesting! I'll check it out since "Osozaki no Himawari" seems to have died at episode 5.

And after watching "Doctor X" I need something where I'll actually have to use my brain.

After finishing "Going My Home" watched the first two episodes. Looks like another great one from the folks at WOWOW!!

The director must have gone to the Tarentino school of directing because the storyline is not linear but jumps around quite a bit.

Seeing a lot of Kishibe Ittoku lately. He was also in "Doctor X". I'm guessing he did "Doctor X" for the paycheck and "Hitori Shizuka" to hone his acting skills.

Glad you like it. It's all good till ep 6. Rumour has it that the series will fall flat in the last ep.
I haven't seen ep 6 yet, so I hope it's not true. We'll see when the subs are ready

Episode 8 of "Priceless". I was starting to get post-Christmas depression but KimTaku brought me out of it. Karina is very good in this!

There's no sparks between her and Kimura (at least not yet), but she's not overplaying her hand as an actress which is why it's working.

I also preferred the anime, I guess a lot of people may not have seen the anime first before seeing the drama.

Finished Taira no Kiyomori, currently watching Jun to Ai, it's quite funny - especially Hiroshi Tachi and suprisingly enjoying it even more than Umechan Sensei.

Had a Doctor X marathon today: I watched all eight episodes.

Though the drama wasn't mentally challenging, I thought it was very entertaining... Sort of a female version of House, M.D.
