Watched the first 2 episodes of Zettai Reido 2. Quite good so far, suspenseful, details of the case are quite complex. Actually not a lot was going on in hindsight but revelations one after another kept me watching. The moral dilemma of having to lie and deceive for crime prevention/bringing criminals to justice was well expressed, but I have mixed feeling about it... Ueto Aya portrayed the inner conflicts of her character well, and Toda Naho was very good in her guest role. Kiritani Kenta also looked the part as the new character in the second series.
First 2 1/2 episodes of Overtime, so far so good, shockingly Sorimachi has been a bit mellow.
Over Time is awesome, one of my favourites. I love the chemistry between Sorimachi and Esumi, and it got me to like Shiina Kippei too. _________________

Anyone watched episode 3 of Zenkai Girl? The ratings dropped to single digit!!! Is it that disappointing? It's the only drama this season that looked interesting.... _________________

Eriko Kitagawa strikes again!!
OT: Up thru episode 3 of Bull Doctor, meh. Esumi is a little too loud and overbearing so far, Mirai Shida has had as much to do as a paperweight and in epi 3 we've already encountered the "idiot plot":
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
A woman is found dead in a park and they figure she died from drowning. But how could that happen in a park where there's no water. Eventually they discover she hit her head on a tree, got knocked out and fell in a puddle because it had been raining. But, if she'd fallen in a puddle, how come when they first found her, her face was perfectly clean? No mud, no dirt, nothing.
Also up to episode 2 of Don Quixote, the old "personality swap" cliche. This time a yakuza switches with a child welfare worker. Was not optimistic after episode 1, I thought the only redeeming value this would have was watching Uchida dance salsa in a kimono. (Which would still put it ahead of a lot of dramas!) But episode 2 was a big improvement. And unlike BOSS 2, it looks like Riko Narumi might actually have something to do in this one.

Good to hear, Shiina is right up there for me as far as favorite actors go but what made the decision easier to watch it is that Yoshino is in it. _________________

I haven't seen episode 3 yet but I don't think neither of the first two episodes were disappointing. Nowadays with satellite tv it's hard to keep shows in double digit ratings. Plus I really don't think ratings reflect how good a particular show is. _________________

I didn't like Yoshino's character in Over Time, though. Maybe you'll feel differently since you're a Yoshino fan.
Shiina was lovely as Kuga, I really liked his scenes with Esumi. Then I watched him in Antique and laughed my head off, and was so tickled by his guest appearance in G@me. I read somewhere that Shiina and Fujiki Naohito are good friends... wonder if that's true? _________________

Rating fell in the second episode, rating for episode 3 went back up to double digits. _________________

It's actually not to easy to find her dramas, been in quite a few but too few of them are available for viewing.
Up to episode 5 of it, actually Sorimachi's character is easy to like in this one, gonna take a one day break from it to watch Shukumei, no reason but it looks interesting.

Well, good luck with finding Yoshino's dramas. I have only seen her in Over Time, though I know she's in Naka nai to Kimeta Hi and Yako no Kaidan - have you seen the latter two? It was so painful to watch Yako no Kaidan, even though Fujiki was there. I think I stopped at episode 4 or 5.
Ohhh Shukumei! I really like that one, the ending song by Fujiki is pretty much my favourite of his songs. I hope you enjoy it! _________________

It was a good TV movie, liked Fujiki's character, wasn't exactly a 'bad guy' but unlike more of the wimpy/victim roles he's played too often but he's still someone I've normally enjoyed watching.
Haven't seen those 2 dramas you mentioned but will hunt them down, really good one she's in is Wedding Planner, one of my all time faves, not just because of her but it features one really strong cast. _________________

Finished watching Ikebukuro West Gate Park. Interesting concept with good actors but the plot was episodic and boring. At times it seemed confused as to rather it wanted to go down the mystery solving road or follow the gang lifestyle.
Now currently on episode 2 of Densha Otoko. Also seems quite interesting but the male lead is kinda annoying. _________________

Have fun with Densha Otoko. Story is very nice but the male lead is REALLY annoying.
Finished first arc of Ryoma-den... had put it on hold though to give more time for the subbers to finish up the series.
Switched to Kdramas recently - watching Spy Myung Gul and Lie to Me (both are good series).
I always finish KDramas faster than JDramas even though Kdramas have more episodes. Its cause I rarely watch an episode from start to finish - most of the time, I'm skipping parts or watching at 1.5X speed. And for kdramas, since there's a lot more filler plots, I tend to skip certain scenes more often. lol _________________

I really like Fujiki's role in Shukumei too, wish he got more roles like this one and in G@me. But I don't think he's done too many wimpy ones... he was sexy and confident in Love Revolution , and also great in Antique, Hotaru no Hikari and Taikoki. Lately though, his roles haven't been too great, sigh.
Ohh did you like the song at the end of Shukumei?
Will check out Wedding Planner, seems like a fun drama and the cast is really good! As for Yako no Kaidan, the subbers seem to have dropped it at episode 6, but if you find a complete set of subs please let me know, I'll probably brave through it again. Not sure if Naka nai to Kimeta hi is also subbed, didn't quite like the synopsis. _________________

Naka nai to Kimeta hi is subbed, only 8 episodes, might give it a whirl, have liked Nana in the dramas I've seen her in. Yako no Kaidan, knew about that but needed a brain jolt to recall it, high on my want to watch list, will wait for the subs to be hopefully completed.
Besides Overtime also doing a rewatch of Bus Stop, think this is the 4th watch in the last year, hard to explain why I'm so addicted to it yet if you haven't seen it I recommend it highly. _________________
