That would be Yoshitaka Yuriko... Didn't like her character at all.

I like her better in Shiroi Haru (Still waiting for the last 2 parts)
In the meantime, I'm getting ready to start Mr. Brain.

Old drama like this really has something special about them... Wakui Emi is definitely growing on me. |
Natsuko no Sake is interesting in its presentation of a dual culturality--the world-unto-its-own culture of sake brewing and the provincial culture of rural Japan.
Naguru Onna is another Wakui Emi series from the 90's that I think is worth watching. And, more recently, she was excellent as the ditzy but caring mother in Chiritotechin.

Just finished Orange Days yesterday. It was a little slow for me but it got better towards the end.

Yeah, I sorta felt the same way at times... What did you think of it overall?
The very end was really heart-wrenching, I thought.

Overall, it was a nice and sweet drama. The whole Orange Society part was a nice touch. I just did not have much patience watching some of the longer conversations but that's because of the nature of how they were carried out, I suppose. I loved the last ep. The rare times when Sae spoke, my heart just melted...
