haydenz, �Ă߂� is another variant of you...really strong way of saying it. I wouldn't use that too much. Words for you (���݁A���Ȃ��A���񂽁A���܂��j should be used sparingly to begin with but that is way too strong.

Also don't be fooled into thinking Japanese kids speak very politely with their parents. I lived with a home stay family with 2 high school sons, they talked to their parents like they were talking to friends almost.
