minna domo. just my 2 cent's worth of opinion.
if copying or mimicking is the highest form of flattery, then kimura takuya should be flattered because kamenashi kazuya has (successfully) portrayed the male lead's character as how kimutaku would if he's given this role. it's as though kamenashi kun religiously watched countless re-runs of beautiful life, long vacation, engine, pride, etc before he started to flesh out this hiroto character. kamenashi had proven his acting ability in nobuta wo produce and thus, i really do not think he should use kimura's "brooding hunk" acting style just because it is a eriko kitagawa script. or perhaps he was "instructed" to "do a kimutaku" by the famous scriptwriter. tatta's just a simple love story between an innocent, naive, overly-protected heroine and a forced-to-be-matured-beyond-his-years-due-to-his-family-situation hero. and like kimutaku, i'm very sure that kamenashi will get better with age.

in the 2nd eps kame-san's dialogue when he's talking to his friends above the motor boat. somehow,,, his style of talking remind me to kimutaku's style... kimutaku's style always like at when he talk serious.. Talk normally at the beginning, while looking at somewhere else, like a faraway place *with his eyes ball being angled*, and then slows his talking pace, and suddenly clear his tone and focus his eye to his opponent's when he says the key words,,, _________________

Blame that lame Kame guy and the person who casted Kame for the role
in this case, then you should blame the writer. hehe. coz she specially requested for kame to star in it. in fact, she wrote it for kame. _________________

perhaps he's mistaking kame-san to kimutaku-san,,, yes they have similiarities... yet i think kame still have to learn a few skills... like delivering a message without too much talking,, and saying words or responsing to something that unpredictable. What kimutaku can do best. _________________

Personally I REALLY loved this drama!!! I thought the acting was good and the story is so sweet. Chemistry is goo and there are even moments of humor in it! I just think it is really underrated by a lot of people.
I think you have to be a little older (25 years old and up) to really appreciate it fully but that is just IMO. It is a little slow but I tend to like dramas like that because they really flesh out the characters. Definitely going to become one of my faves!

I soo do not like Kame! Cause I only watched Nobuta and this with him in it and it just seems like he's some conceited guy who grabs the women and then something happens in the end that makes him "better". I wish he had a role where he's more caring and down-to-earth. He reminds me of those hot shot kids in High School.

I actually didn't finish this one....I don't know. It was a little...too...? I'm not even sure myself. I actually wanted to watch it for Kame...but, I ended up not really enjoying it. For some reason....
ThyGriever - You should watch him in the Yuuki special. That's where I found Kame actually and his character there...wow. I cried in that sp.

I remember this drama, but I never commented on it. I basically watched it for Erika, but I did enjoy it. LOL. I even own 6 of those glowy spike ball things they used in the show. _________________

You own SIX of those glowy things. That is soo cool. I love those things. I want one! Too bad Hiroto is taken, otherwise he could win me one, since I want it! Seriously though, those things look soo cool. Where did you get them from?
I really loved this drama. Such a cute romantic story.
