who saw that show today on ktla ch.5? it just came out i love that show now cause its one of theshows ever! i know its been in japane but how long?

Actually, this is one of the oldest anime characters in the history of anime. The original manga came out in 1951, but the anime didn't come out until the early 1960's, still very old. Oh wow, that takes me back. I don't think I ever saw Astro Boy on TV, but I have seen the Gigantor (don't know the Japanese name for the show) series when I was a kid... Way cool. Big Grin

Yeah, the original Astro Boy is really old. In fact, it has the honor of being the first TV anime to appear in the US.

I forgot what time, but I was surpised to see it one saturday morning as i was channel surfing. It might have been on fox.
