Heya pple,

have been debating whether to buy and watch the new series of young kindaichi for some time, but whenever i see the new lead from Arashi i just feel a bit apprehensive.

hope for some help....

1. Is the new lead as good or even better than Dohmoto Tsuyoshi? i noe it isnt fair to compare cos they must each have their own merits but its quite impt cos i was realllly bowled over by tsuyoshi and if the new guy doesnt match up that really sort of blows the whole show...

2. pace of the show in general? still the same standard as the earlier few series, or even better?

Well, I think that the new series is really more of a spin off of the anime series. Ie the character of Kindaichi acts like the kindaichi in the anime, not like Domotos. Their portrals are completly different. It's not a matter of match up. I like the new series, because in the original series it got kind of grating that every time the bad guy almost always died. The new series usually has the murderer living. In one case, the cop suggesting that they go visit one in jail, since she was thier friend.

They use completly different scripts, which is nice. And I think once you get used to it being a different actor, you might like it!

This post has been post a long time ago but I'm new so it doesn't matter. I gotta say I seen the one with Arashi. It's really good and pretty awesome. It's different from the animation but it's still good. They picked a good character for the part.

wow!!! really old thread. and i thought it was a new one for kame's new kindaichi. haha. got excited a bit there.

anyway, i saw jun's too. but i liked kame's better. maybe because it was shorter. hehe. just right for my attention span. plus it's kame. i just love him. taht's all. jun was okay though. i kinda gor bored a bit, since i guessed the killer for every epi. haha.
