YESSSSSSS! im so glad they are making it into a movie! Its such a good book! If anyone is interested the whole thing is ONLINE, and you can read it straight from the web for FREE! afterall it all came from 2channel web forums anyways... http://www.geocities.co.jp/Milkyway-Aquarius/7075/trainman.html DEFINETLY a GOOD read! ..........if u can read Japanese of course. I was kinda surprised when I heard that Nakatani Miki was going to play the female lead role, but it looks like it's going to work out fine. I thought it was kinda weird that she was going to play "Miss Hermes" since she's about 8 years older than Yamada Takayuki.

And wow, a cool guy like YT can actually pull off the dorky look. I'm impressed. hehe

The movie, Densha Otoko is set to be shown on 4 June and Yamada appeared in his character's costume with long hair and spectacles together with clothes which are clearly mismatched in terms of style and colour. Yamada mentions that although this doesn't look very cool, he finds it quite comfortable. Nakatani Miki (29), his co-star says that she is also very much into online chatrooms and can understand the feelings of the characters in this movie. With long hair, silver-rimmed specs, shirt which is buttoned right up to the top and being tucked into the trousers, sneakers and a backpack (named ryukku), Yamada changes into the typical otaku-shonen. Yamada has acted in many dramas with ii shonen roles like those in Sekai no Chuushin de Ai wo Sakebu and H2. This is the first time that he has undertaken such a great image change. Although he felt embarrassed at first, things became better when he started the shooting in Shibuya where this attire seems to be no big deal over there. According to the movie company, when the crew started shooting in Akibahara where the otaku gather, nobody realised who Yamada was because of his attire. Yamada claims that he does not collect female anime figurines but he does collect Spiderman figurines so he's considered as an otaku too. On the other hand, the heroine of this story, Hermes is said to resemble Nakatani Miki and she said that she was kind of embarrassed when she read about this in the original novel. In 1996, she bought a Mac and was very interested in chat rooms since then. Thus, she can claim to have first hand experience in how the characters in the movie feel. Other cast members include Kuninaka Ryoko (25), Eita (22), Sasaki Kuranosuke (37), Okada Yoshinori (28), Nishida Naomi (33) and Oosugi Ren (53). Went to catch the movie today in Roppongi Hills, it's your usual story of th e otaku getting the girl's heart. It seems impossible at first, but after some hardwork and encouragement, it's all a happy ending... But all in all, it's still a pretty entertaining love story with some really funny parts... hope you guys would catch it if it shows in your country... Anyway the drama is going to be shown on Japanese TV around 7/7, �ɓ��(Itoh Misaki) is Hermes in the drama, and I forgot the guy's name.

Hi, can anyone tell me what Densha Otoko (dorama) is about? Just a brief summary? I went to the website and attempted to use machine translation but uh - the translation didn't really make sense.
