OK. When I find my tapes, I can work on Naomi then. I have 1st 3 eps rough translated & timed.
Oh good! I didn't know someone was working on Naomi. Good show! I saw it last year or maybe a little longer ago. I only have the VCD for it and was considering doing that one, but my time is strapped working on another project and stuff. Maybe it's GTO-ish but I really got a kick out of that show. I hope you end up doing that one, I think a lot of people would enjoy that

most likely that ur computer can't handle the file.. it is a common problem for older pc.. i'm having problem playing file from fob and jtv even on a p3 800... most recommended for p4 system... _________________

Is that because of the XviD codec in particular? In regards to decoding only, does DivX 5.x have better performance on older systems than the various XviD codecs? My only non-P4 system is a Pentium 3 833MHz, but I can't perform any benchmark testing on that system seeing DivX/XviD seem to interfere with my MPEG-2 video editing software.

i doubt it's the xvid codec problem.. cause the p3-800 i got can play xvid files that has smaller resolution.. thus, the higher the resolution file the more hardware hungry... therefore, sound and picture mismatch will appear when you play it... especially when there is a lot of action happening on screen... _________________
i know that but anyone know the date??? i really can't wait...
For most fansubbers, I think it's bad luck to announce release dates. It puts pressure on the fansubbers. And, when they don't make a deadline, some people vocal their opinions on the situation. Even for the fansubber that's made of stone, feedback like that does have some sort of an effect on the fansubber. I know that JTV announces release dates, and a couple of times they missed the deadline, creating total panic and chaos for some people.
From a viewer perspective, I never ask questions like these... I just wait until the episode is released. I think most people will agree that this is the proper thing to do. When the next episode of Gokusen is released from by one of the tens of thousands of groups subbing this series, think of the day as Christmas.

Yeah, you really can wait, as long as it takes for the releases Most people saying these types of things usually have no clue of how much is involved in fansubbing. Remember that people are doing this in their spare time and it does involve a lot of time and effort.
It's not that they are keeping some kind of secret. When it's done, they'll say "it's done, we're about to release it", that's how it goes. So when there is news, you will hear about it here.
As groink said, there is no reliable way to make a projected release date unless you are done or are almost done (maybe a week or so in advance?). When some groups do that, they get everyone all pumped and excited. Then, there could be a delay for some reason...then people freak out because they "promised" and could not deliver by the release date. So, some groups prefer not to give too much news too far ahead of time.
You are not the only one wondering. It's just that nobody can accurately say when it will be done. You are also not the only one asking. I'm sure it drives them nuts to a certain extent after a while. So you might wanna keep that in mind and just be patient.

my brother is doing timing in anime fan sub group so i know a little how it is.
sorry to make you angry. i'll be more patient in the future. i only thought that maybe anyone know if this ep is in progress.
A simple to be ahead of all losers and impress them with knowledge.
Find out who is in charge of doing the specific series and bug her.
As those guys are usually proud as peacocks, they make their names visible on the screen.
So it is a piece of cake locating them.
Tell some kind of story that you love the series, love her work and want to help - then get all the info you need and flee.
