Perfect Bride was pretty decent. It centers around a recently married woman, Miyuki, who has wedded an architect, Makoto. Makoto is only seen through his emails to Miyuki as he is in Africa on business. Meanwhile Miyuki is dealing with Makoto's disfunctional family and their unending needs. Miyuki is eventually pressured into running her father-in-law's business due to the old man's poor health and crotchity attitude. I enjoyed seeing the whole new-wife-versus-crazy-in-laws relationship. The individual characters in the family are pretty funny and all of the emotion surrounding the eel shop is very interesting. The ending, however, is terribly sad and kind of a let-down after all of the light-heartedness throughout the series. |

The drama was ok. Nothing too special but fulfills to be entertaining, in the first few episodes. It's interesting to see the lengths Miyuki goes to please her husbands family which is almost truely unbelievable LOL (good thing there wasn't the stereotypical mother-in-law lol. however there was the obvious love triangle development and what they did with it in the end was a bit upsetting.

You think this is your normal, Daughter-in-law gets bullied and in the end, everyone is happy. WRONG....I expected it to be one of those repetitive dramas but it wasn't. I found myself actually truly enjoying it, though i wanted to kill and slaughter the family (except Morita) for treating her so badly. I loved it. It was a great drama. Though i wished the ending could be a little different.... |

Jan 2004: This is a typical family drama. I think this show will turn out badly w/o kimura yoshino ^^)v I was very mad when i watch the 1st epi...everyone treats yoshino as if she is the maid....as the story progresses, ppl started to change....overall, i think this is just an average drama, yoshino definately saves the show. |

the beginning of this drama really pissed me off.. the way they treated kimura yoshino.. just felt like givin her family-in-law a hard kick..
beside morita go.. he seemed to be the "dont-care" those type of guy.. but in the end.. he's really nice~ caring and understanding.. |

Truly a fun drama to watch. While the story isn't really intriguing, it does have it's sweet moments. The characters are endearing, the main actress is really pretty (Kimura Yoshino) and the story overall well brought. It one of those that's fun to watch when you have time.. with some hilarious moments. ^^ |

i've never watched kimura yoshino before this and i have to admit she's good.. loved satoru to bits! however the story is rather similiar to others, and only watching it in 2004 made it all the more obvious.. |
