Muranishi Toru (Yamada Takayuki) was called the AV king during the bubble era in the 1980s. He had seven prior convictions, owed 5 billion yen and US law enforcement sought a 370-year sentence for him. Muranishi saw an opportunity to succeed in adult videos back when he was in the depths of despair. His company had gone bankrupt and his wife had cheated on him. He broke into the world of porn with his buddies Toshi (Mitsushima Shinnosuke) and Kawata (Tamayama Tetsuji). Although Muranishi rose to fame overnight, the interferences of his business rivals drove him into a corner. That was when he met a university student Emi (Morita Misato) who had suppressed her true self because of her strict mother. This encounter between the two will upend society’s norms.

Comments by EstherM [Rating: 7/10] I am enjoying this - it's a bit more daring as it's on Netflix and it's based on the real life beginnings of the porn industry in Japan (which is to this day shady and big business at the same time) and how some taboos were broken in the eighties. Read up on the people involved, it's quite interesting.
