I'm not a big fan of mysteries in general, and this is certainly not a very good one at that. The basic concept is neat, getting mail from your classmate who went missing twenty years ago, and during the times that it is mysterious and spooky it is really neat, but of course they have to get around to the explaining, where it loses its mood and becomes stupid. But to be fair this is mostly a problem I find intrinsic to the whole mystery genre in general.
But outside of the main plot, I still really liked this, but it's all for very shallow reasons. It feels like a 90's drama. I like seeing middle school kids walking through cherry blossom trees. Kyoto. A lot of characters have cool names, like: Onodera Fuyuha, Asahimura, Sabashima, Sankuma, etc. I even like it for having an overall amateurish feel, with a cast somewhat more on the "B-list" side.
So I dislike it for somewhat unfair reasons, but overall like it for some equally undeserving reasons. So I suppose that's all around fair. |

A kind of strange, soap opera-y mystery drama. I really don't know what else to call it. It wasn't bad, but I can't say I really loved it either. It's another one of those strange middle grounds. And also, Tomosaka Rie needs to eat a sandwich or 10. She's too skinny. |

This mystery drama had a promising enough start with actors I like. But the story is weak and has too many soapy moments. Okay to watch once if you like mysteries I guess. |
