1. | Comments by occultangle [Rating: 7/10] Great, another brain cancer drama. This is the one millionth brain cancer drama I have seen and it's basically exactly the same as all the other ones. They don't even try to let you think it will end any differently either, they literally tell you the ending in like the first spoken sentence. The woman isn't faithful to her husband, but also like a million other dramas, it's OK because he is an over-the-top psychopath. It has a scene where one of the star crossed lovers is going to get on a bus, the other one isn't going to come, but at the last second she goes running while emotional music plays in the background, only to arrive a second too late, to see the bus driving off - it's a scene that I see two or three times EVERY SINGLE DRAMA SEASON. to be fair it's actually fairly well written and acted, it's sad, emotional and meaningful. This probably would have been a classic that people would remember for years, and in reality I like it far more than I want to. But it's still all been done many many times before, and drama creators are going to have to come up with some new stuff to make me cry, if they want me to have much of anything positive to say about it. |
2. | Comments by gaijinmark [Rating: 6/10] Giving this a 6 because it became totally unglued at episode 6 and went downhill rapidly. Masanobu Takashima over the top as the most psychotic doctor I've seen in a long time.
I did like the relationship between the two brothers though and Rosa Kato was nice as Hajime's girlfriend, Anna. |
