Tamo Aoshi is a substitute teacher at his alma mater, a prestigious private high school that admits 200 students to Tokyo University every year. He becomes the coach of the weak baseball club which has only five members and has never won a game since it was established. The highest number of times they have thrown the ball back and forth without dropping it is nine. They prefer the outfield because the infield is scary. Furthermore, they practice on the grounds only three hours a week. At other times, they study, study and study. But they love baseball. Finding them interesting and strange creatures, Aoshi decides that he will give his charges victory, guided by his offbeat theory gtriumph is possible even if weakh. And then they seriously set their sights on the annual nationwide high school baseball championship with their brand of preposterous baseball. | |

| 1. | Actually kinda disappointing [Rating: 7/10] I was rather disappointed by this drama and it was almost hard for me to keep watching it when i was at episode 5 and almost stopped.
The cast is great, i love how many great newcoming young actors they put into one drama. Also Ninomiya Kazunari in the lead, can't really go wrong with it (seeing him as a teacher still feels sorta odd, since he looks so young cries)
I was really looking forward especially to see Sakurada Dori in this drama, kind of sad his (really funny) character only had such a small part in this drama tbh. The boys all together are really cute though~
But the story kind of seems to lack on all ends. I don't know, something was just missing to make this drama really interesting and it had such good potential too. Knowing many good sport animes i was sure this drama had to be great, but in the end it was really just kinda boring for the most part. Yet i managed to finish it after all, and i have to say i really enjoyed the last three episodes. They put in a few nice twists and the end also is kind of unexpected if you ask me.
All in all, i don't feel like i wasted my time with this drama, yet i've seen many sport dramas that have been better. I'm sorry Ninoooo ;; | Reviewed by Pikazu on 2 June 2015 |
